VH1 has been playing TAC during their am show.

rose

I guess it's called "Hung Up" ?

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

It says you're a negative person who gets their jollies sucking the joy out of every little tidbit of positive Prince news.
That's pretty much what it says. wink

Great news! This song is gonna do really well on this chart. The VH-1 audience goes crazy over songs like this and Prince is very popular on this channel.

I bet the record company is way more happy than Prince that this a one time deal. Let's hope the second single if there is one, is something a little more funky.

This song is very lukewarm to me. My boss handed the single to me and asked me to take a listen (they all know how I much I love him at work).

He wanted to know what I thought and I was like, lukewarm, I can't lie. I haven't seen the video and that could sell me on the product. But may boss and I both agree that his singles as of lately can be hit or miss. Call me was in the 18 to 34 Urban demo in '04. That was impressive. Urban AC still plays it quite a bit. But...hit or miss. I'm finding myself just not excited about this record.

Well, it's certainly a "first" of sorts for Prince -- a song with a video that's almost too good for the audio track. I see the song as more of a "middle of an album" song than a single...and certainly not a lead-off single. The song is nice but there's not much excitement to be had.

Hello,

I found the song to be OK. If anything it generates alot of buzz for the album.
I cannot wait for 3121. I am sure there will be a good mix of fast and slow stuff on it.

It means nothing. Musicology was on their little countdown, and it didn't come any closer to the Top 40 than a zit faced virgin comes to a hot woman's pussy.

Whoa! Within the past hour it's now slipped to #6! http://www.vh1.com/artist...sts.jhtml Hit the brakes!? shocked And honestly I have to agree, not a very memorable lead-off single and by far the weakest guitar solo he's ever laid down...

Do none of you who dislike this song appreciate its subtlety? And yes, it is possible to release a lead-off song that is subtle. Just cuz he doesn't follow the trends (but set them - just watch, next year, artists will follow his lead) does that make this song any less valuable?

Now don't get me wrong, nobody is saying it's valueless, I liked the cut (back-peddling back-peddling ha,ha!) after 1st listen I thought it was very subtle, dare I say sensual?! I just don't think it should've been the first single released off 3121 considering all the anticipation we have. We ALL have very high hopes for 3121 - and I'm sure it'll deliver!

...damn this album better be good!

Trickology

Is it not obvious why Prince's single is moving now? The Prince freaks can't stand the fact that no one is really interested in a new Prince single with a latin title. So they are actually clicking like mad to push it up in other words:Cheating... just like Musicology,The Greatest Romance, and not the one and, Betcha By Golly no one cares. Prince got his airtime and every video was passed

It won't work though because Vh1 is going to realize no one is buzzing about this single. It's just a overt glossed over Circus de Solei in Morocco commercial for 3121 an album that people will pass over. Because Prince doesn't know how to identify with the commoners of America.

I don't need captain obvious to see why Universal is tanking this effort. Because Prince is at the helm for choosing the lead single and marketing and promotion. Stick to tours that's where his brilliance lies not pissing away god knows how much for an overhead on this project and it's assorted videos.

Also, it's not even on Billboards top 50 digital downloads. Who got mad at Mazerati's announcement? Someone at the Org was busy clicking at Vh1 site and with that I think I will email Vh1 and warn them of this scam. Nice try though.

lol let's fix this shall we lol

I stopped caring about VH1 a while ago, when music wasn't first. So while I'm glad they put Prince on their playlist, I could still give a shit about the network. VH1 Classic, on the other hand, I can still appreciate. They've even been playing the new Prince video on their Classic/Current program.

VH-1 plays Te Amo every morning. So, It will probably continue 2 rise on their charts. Their viewers love songs like this. I have 2 admit, I downloaded the song from Yahoo. So, It has grown on me 2 wink razz .
