It won't work though because Vh1 is going to realize no one is buzzing about this single. It's just a overt glossed over Circus de Solei in Morocco commercial for 3121 an album that people will pass over. Because Prince doesn't know how to identify with the commoners of America.

I don't need captain obvious to see why Universal is tanking this effort. Because Prince is at the helm for choosing the lead single and marketing and promotion. Stick to tours that's where his brilliance lies not pissing away god knows how much for an overhead on this project and it's assorted videos.

Also, it's not even on Billboards top 50 digital downloads. Who got mad at Mazerati's announcement? Someone at the Org was busy clicking at Vh1 site and with that I think I will email Vh1 and warn them of this scam. Nice try though.

lol let's fix this shall we lol

Really? I keep hearing the chorus...

"Have A Nice Daaaaay...

It's My Life....

And we're halfway there, oooh, oh! Livin' On a Prayer!

And I'm wanted, wanted, dead or alive!

They all blend together in my mind. It's not only the same group from the 80s, but the same song, too! smile

hmm...I don´t understand much about charts, specially american charts (I live in Brasil). So I must ask...is it good or bad for a song to debut in #20? Is it normal even for hit songs?

It's obvious fan freaks are tampering with it. And I do believe Stream Links count for chart positioning.

How the hell is Britney Spears on the chart with 5 positions in the top 20? Something is rotten in Denmark. And this proves to me it's not accurate.

Either someone is buying chart numbers or Britney really is scaling a comeback with her old hits..
I would call Red Herring if you debut at Number 5 next to Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce. RED HERRING. If I don't hear about it anywhere else but Prince forums...

I won't call it "tampering"; they're just showing their support for Prince and there's nothing wrong with that. It was actually good to see a Prince song in the charts. I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of the song but it has grown on me considerably the last couple of weeks...

It's good to debut anywhere in the top 20, considering there are limited spots.

Wait, what do you mean by the bolded statement? Am I missing something? Is Universal not promoting the single or pulling their support? (I don't have cable or pay much attention to pop culture...)
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

This is a good A/C song and it going to do well on VH1 and the A/C charts. I think anyone with half brain can see that seems to be the direction P is moving in. He is getting older and nobody plays funk on the radio. I suspect that we will get some up-tempo music on the CD but I doubt if any will be put out as a single.

This cheating bullshit I can't understand what part of the Musicology marketing plan you still don't understand (LOL) The whole industry cheats. What do you call payola, 99 cent cassette singles back in the day. The cable network "Video Jukebox" were record companies paid people to call in and request videos.

The whole industry is ripe with tricks but, you don’t have an issue with any of them. Only with an artist who is beating the system at its own game.

Your so worried about P's record sales I honestly think you got a personal beef with the guy. If so please take it somewhere else. Your post are tired and nobody at this board is really that interested.

At the end of the day P is going to be chilling in his mansion while your wasting your time worrying about his business tactics and his fans.

Personally, I thought the song was absolute genius (as always!) 4 a love song with the blend of a spanish title which makes it even more memorable and heart wrenching. U don't have 2 b a crazed fan of Prince's 2 enjoy the song or love it. It should have been #1, but as always Prince is shortchanged with everything.

Here's the fangirl. btw don't pm message me. take your medication and write to someone who will care like your therapist. Prince isn't going to give you bonus points for cheerleading for him on the sideline. (fyi...) EVERY statement you make you take it personal and you are way too damn sensitive. Notice how you attack every single criticism? Seek Help. Prince isn't going to give you any accolades for it. Everyone is subjective and opinionated. You just can't handle it obviously with the plethora of messages you bombard and jump in taking petty shots at people who have a different view than yours.

Get a grip and worry about your own personal views. It's not that serious. Truly it isn't.

Prince already said that the single TAC is not a reflection of the other songs on the album. I read those quotes online on some etertainment website.
