Lots of rock stars are drug addicts too. What is your point? No Sly I doubt if P would have recorded half the music he came up with.

what makes you think i'm young? and besides that, and back to the point, how does quoting some happy feel-good song address the issue that none of these people are actual stars? just because some junkie wrote in a song that "everybody is a star" doesn't mean it's true. that's only the bullshit that nobodies tell themselves so they don't feel so pathetic.

what the person said was that I wouldn't have anywhere to post. there's a whole internet outside of Prince.org. for that matter, there's a whole life out there that doesn't revolve around Prince or Sly Stone or ANY musicians, darling. go experience it. pop music and prince.org are not the be-all, end-all to existence on the face of this earth.

You would not have anywhere to post about P's music because he may not have made it as a musician without Sly's influnece. You could post somewhere on the Internet just would not be about P.

We all are aware of other music and don't need to be reminded by a person who thinks Sly was just a drug addict. You showed your own ignorance about pop and RnB with that comment.

I love how when a person f's up they first thing you get is "There a world out there" or Go Experience Life" as if posting to this board prevents me from being aware that there is a life outside of music.

i'm sorry, not everybody is a star. you're not a star, i'm not a star. i'm quite confident in knowing that. saying that "everybody is a star" is nonsense. just because you say it doesn't mean it's true. and just because you feel good about yourself doesn't mean you're a star. "everybody is a star" is a nice sentiment to pick up one's self-esteem, but it's hardly accurate. the only people that think that are nobodies that don't know any other way to feel good about themselves.

"everybody is a star" .... how ridiculous. as i first stated, no one in the aforementioned article is a star outside of about 100 Prince fans and about 50 people who show up to see the same shows in Minneapolis bars week-in, week-out. ZERO STARS!!!! evil

I have clue you have no f**king idea or clue about much and I am delighted you don't post often. It appears we are not missing anything important statements by you not posting. If you can't take the heat don't get on this board and don't call Sly just a drug addict.

OMG, who said anything about self esteem? Your the one saying your a "b" person and not an a. You don't know any of us. Some of us may have more money than you. Some of us are more educated than you. Some of us have achieved more things than you ever will. But that doesn't make us any better. The fact that your mad that we are saying everybody is a star only shows your own low self esteem because you can't handle it. Get a clue....you probably also hide behind the keyboard.

i did. can't you read?

Your the one saying your a "b" person and not an a. You don't know any ]of us. Some of us may have more money than you. Some of us are more educated than you. Some of us have achieved more things than you ever will.

that's certainly possible. but that still doesn't make you a star.

what a silly thing to say. that's the reality of the situation of internet communication. but who's hiding? unless you're saying you want to meet up and have this conversation. what the pont would be, i have no idea.
