Personally, I think the threads that start with "A message for _____ (insert orgers name here)" are stupid... take it to orgnotes folks.

Unless it's a b-day thread, a "_____" appreciation thread or special event... it's orgnote material.

It's really another one of those things that makes the world go round - different strokes for different folks !

All of the above.

Having said that, some people are attention seekers and this is the place to get attention.

Whether stupid, serious or just plain indifferent, threads are what make the Org and it would be a pretty bland dish without one of these ingredients.

even threads that start off stupid can end up being great!

I went back a few pages in GD and "Imagoboo" is the only one that clearly fits the category. All topics are related to personal experiences, questions that need answered, health stuff, interactions between other orgers, news,.....nothing bizarre. I find some of the silly sounding topics have interesting slants.
There's plenty of off topic banter on threads that's silly, but I don't mind.
