I'm in the U.S. for every weekend in November and have already booked Xmas parties and the like for December, so I don't have another free weekend until January '04. But I'd definitely appear regularly at any meet-ups from then on. And if infinitetrio can't get the night off, we could always take a trip down to Leith and catch his act!

Oh, and I still owe mcmeekle £3! Hopefully he can survive on a Crisis Loan until the New Year.

Gutted I didn't make it - spent Saturday getting my halloween gear ready, by then it was 5pm and I couldn't have stayed for long, so didn't seem worth it.

... good to see unique at The Shore Bar & Restaurant last night, it was a scorcher. Was also the first time we used the new piano, what a night. Now we're gonna try and do a Prince relevent set, funk & Joni etc.

ok folks, time 4 another meetup, this time it's next saturday 22nd november, how about the same place 4.30pm 2 allow 4 opening. again if ure coming down, let me know and i can meet some of u earlier in town or wherever

if any1 needs 2 book a bnb let me know and i'll help if i can, but a simple yell.co.uk check 4 guest houses in pilrig street will give u a few cheap and cheerful nearby places. abbie got a place 4 £25, so i'll find out the name of that cuz i'd suggest u book a place in there if u can. i've not yet checked if footie or rugby is on in town or what

again this is just going 2 b a small meetup, hopefully every1 there the last time can make it. maybe if its just a few of us we can nip down 2 the shore bar and c infiniti's band play. it's a small pub but cheap and cheerful and very busy

so who's up 4 this then? i'm going, i think muirdo is up 4 it, im sure infiniti is coming, i know some1 else is coming, is 23 going 2 make it? what about mcmeekle, ian and abbie?

well within an hour or 2 i've had confirmation of a few folks coming already, so at this rate we're doing pretty well.

i have a few thoughts, i guess it's prettymuch the same folks coming as last time, or ppl i know, so if we organise things properly we can meetup in pivo, have something 2 eat and then head somewhere else or checkout a few different places without wondering if any1 is gonna turn up late. i think most ppl swapped mobile numbers the last time anyways.

what we can do is meet in pivo 4 a while, get something 2 eat and then head down 2 the shore and checkout a few places and then on2 c infiniti's band who i'm sure will rehearse a full prince based jazz set within a week and perform it 4 us all

how does that sound?

and last time we had pizza so this time it's chinese, there r a load of buffets all over the place now, there r a couple near pivo and another down the shore, all pretty cheap. or if ure up 4 a change, there is a gr8 mongolian DIY buffet thats also gr8 4 vegitarians, about £15 a head, u pick the ingrediants and put em in a bowl and give it 2 the chef 2 cook and u can eat what u like, and the drinks r pretty decently priced. i don't think they will let us play prince music tho!

any1 else got any more suggestions? maybe this time we can find a place where we can play music, but pivo is the ideal starting point i think, they play cool music also

oh, and the Q bar round the corner is buy 1 get 1 free on drinks between 4 and 7pm if folks wanna meet there instead. they also do half decent food

i think we should call this off on saturday 22nd november as there is a lack of interest

there r two alternate dates if any1 is interested in meeting up b4 xmas, saturday 6th december or saturday 12th december

if any1 is interested, post here and c if we can agree which of these two dates is best and we can go 4 it, but so far 22nd november is a no go now
