to a cracking good night,the banter was superb and it was cool that everyone was on the same wave-length.
Next time i will have to get the Sunday off of my work and get a bnb so i can make a night of it.

Excellent night y'all, thanks to those that turned up! It was a pleasure putting some faces to those Org usernames.

Pity a couple of people didn't make it but hopefully they'll be there next time, after the success of the first meetup.

Hi all. I'm finding it difficult to focus on my keyboard for some reason, but I just want to say thanks to Uni for putting the night together, Ian for tolerating the madness, Abbie for enduring my drunken ramblings regarding artificial uviverses and the number 23, McD for the mindblowing sex back at his place , Muirdo for his similar views on Larry Graham, McMeekle for his patience and a special mention must go to Infinitetrio's funky hat.

I had a lovely time yesterday guys. Despite being the only girl, i never felt uncomfortable for a second,perfect gents- so thanks

Not only did i have a few drams, some delicious pizza, good company, and learned LOADS about Prince ... i discovered a possible future career as a magicians assistant, and realised that none of us actually exist at all, and - Oh My God! I just checked the clock and its 2.23pm...

... really, please, can we have the next meetup on a day when I don't have to do a grant application, rehearse, do a gig etc etc?

...great to meet y'all but i wanted to stay and hang out and missed out.

well saturdays r the best days 2 meetup i would say, specially as half the folk who turned up were from out of town and had 2 travel, and if there r more folks coming then they 2 would b from out of town, hopefully some coming up from england. its a lot easier 4 them 2 travel up on the saturday and back on the sunday. having a meetup on friday makes it a problem 4 folks travelling, and also folks working mon-fri might pull out cuz they r tired

cuz we metup quite early and drank a fair bit, we were all knackered come midnite and called it a day

so its a case of folks choosing the date they want in november, the last saturday of the month, or 2nd last. im off 2 glasgow on the last sunday of the month so thats not so good 4 me, and that week may also b busy uptown. meeting on the 2nd last weekend is usually the quietest time 2 go out and thus easiest 2 get a venue. i think most of the folks who came were happy 2 chip in £5/£10 each if we could get a place 2 play our own music and perhaps dvds

btw, we found it was possible 2 get a room in pilrig street 4 £25 a nite, which is pretty damn cheap, and apparently its a nice place 2, it certainly looks impressive from the outside.

so who is up 4 another nite so soon? any1 got any other ideas?

The B&B was great and genuinely was £25!

Beware though, they don't take credit cards which i only found out when i went to pay this morning!

I had kept some cash back for getting a taxi to the train station, some food for the journey home and a taxi home when i reached Inverness- which i had to use to pay.Poor woman had to make do with £24.33!

Needless to say my morning was spent hastily making my way to the train station on foot, getting lost, and getting onto the train with about 2.5 seconds to spare!

Then phoning hung-over friends when i got to Snekkie begging lifts home.

Never mind made it in one peice, thats what matters
