dance4me3121 said: what happened to the Justin timberlake mocking prince youtube video? it was on here last night.I was gonna show it to a friend of mine seems as though the j.t. / mocking Prince video has been totally removed from the entire internet. even the articles presenting the video like the daily.uk has had the video deleted. (is justin the harbinger of the beginning of the end of "freedom of the press?"😬) i mean why would the powers that be have the video of j.t mocking Prince' height removed from the net? better yet, who are the "powers that be"? It's obvious that somebody in his camp got wind of the GG video and had it deleted from the internet. He's supposedly crushed about all the negative comments his halftime show got, and a video of him mocking the man he tributed still being online can't help matters. "Get up off that grey line"

I found the following review interesting: Compared with Prince's, Justin Timberlake's halftime show was a wimpy joke 6 February 2018 : https://www.usatoday.com/.../307243002 Considering Sunday's Super Bowl was hosted in Minneapolis, not paying tribute to Prince during the halftime show would’ve been sacrilege. ust Minneapolis’ own king of pop, he also gave the Super Bowl its best-ever halftime show performance in 2007. Yet, it’s unlikely that Prince and his deservedly-large ego would've been satisfied with the treatment he received: a tribute from Justin Timberlake, an artist with whom Prince had a historically fraught relationship, during a show that fell woefully short of The Purple One's legendary 2007 set. There’s a reason why, when rumors spread last week that a hologram version of Prince would join Timberlake on-stage, that the late singer’s fans rioted. Timberlake had a history of mocking Prince in public, from taking a dig at the 5’2’’ singer’s height at the 2007 Golden Globes to dedicating an entire verse to dissing Prince on his song Give It To Me later that year. read more at link provided: ¤ last paragraph excerpt: Prince devotees can take solace in the fact that their idol’s 2007 halftime show eclipses Timberlake’s in every way.

Well I guess this is part of the negative comments:
Prince sang his songs during his halftime show, while Timberlake let his backing tracks and background singers do the heavy lifting, following a disastrously garbled opening in which the sound was so muffled fans could barely make out Timberlake’s lyrics. Between Timberlake willfully ignoring his Suit and Tie vocals in favor of kicking around his mic stand, and the singer desperately reaching for his high notes at the end of Mirrors, he was doomed whether he opened his mouth or not.
Prince also knew how to balance his classic songs with some innovative risks, ripping through faithful versions of his hits (save a few added guitar solos) before debuting a blistering mashup of All Along the Watchtower and the Foo Fighters’ Best Of You. Meanwhile, Timberlake’s attempts to remix his own pop classics resulted in the lurching rock arrangements of songs like My Love and Cry Me a River, the instrumentals further jumbled by a horns section behind him. As heard in the confused Americana-R&B of Man of the Woods, Timberlake’s genre experimentations didn’t just doom his new album, but also Sunday's show. And Prince knew how to stick his landing, ending his halftime set with one of the greatest moments in halftime show history, his breathtaking performance of Purple Rain. What would Prince have thought that Can't Stop The Feeling, a song from the Trolls movie soundtrack, capped Timberlake's set instead of his duet with Prince?

. You read my mind! . You know Prince was there in spirit messin' with JT. And, JT had the nerve to say that his Prince tribute was the "ultimate homage"......Ultimate? He can't seriously believe that! . People are pissed off now because they aren't saying whether or not there was a Hologram planned. If they did scrap the supposed Hologram, that would be a lot of money lost. I dunno what to think at this point. . The tribute was cheap and lazy AF. Prince did not want a Hologram, but that is basically what they did. An insult to Prince and a slap in the face!

. Vibrator? . Well, the critics are all saying his new album is the worst ever, so I will leave it at that.

JT is the gift that keeps on giving- NO you do not mess with Prince whether he is on earth or not. Here is another bad review . . . oh and it is not from Prince fans who are haters- . https://www.forbes.com/sites/bryanrolli/2018/02/05/justin-timberlake-tom-brady-super-bowl-losers/#7eed6a921fed
Justin Timberlake And Tom Brady Were The Super Bowl's Biggest Losers, .
Justin Timberlake probably didn’t plan for his week to go like this. On Friday, the 37-year-old pop star released his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods, a curious amalgamation of analog funk, Americana and futuristic pop that’s already earned the distinction of being his worst-reviewed album. Pitchfork’s Jamieson Cox called the record “a misstep large enough to merit relitigating Justin Timberlake’s status as a pop superstar,” while The Spinoff’s Eli Matthewson admitted outright that he couldn’t even make it through the 66-minute slog. In fact, it’s not hard to imagine other critics sculpting their savage reviews days in advance, as Timberlake has quickly morphed into one of the least likable figures in pop music. To be clear, Timberlake is still a global superstar, and early sales projections for Man of the Woods are massive, albeit much lower than his former projects. His Super Bowl halftime-show performance should have afforded him the opportunity to remind the world why he’s remained a pop-culture juggernaut for two decades. Instead, the singer delivered a lifeless, by-the-numbers performance that largely eschewed his new album in favor of his widely beloved back catalog. Timberlake usually specializes in these types of slick, safe nostalgia romps, but an atrocious audio mix rendered his lithe falsetto useless, and he couldn’t even be bothered to keep up with his band and backup dancers onstage. Timberlake suddenly lost the ability to thrill a crowd, something he had done so effortlessly in two previous Super Bowl halftime shows. . But on Sunday night, the Man of the Woods performed like a man of the past, with no way of reconciling his old-school, digestible brand of entertainment with a hypercritical audience that keeps receipts on every pop star. .

To parapharse : If you try to play Prince you play yourself. . Methinks JT has been schooled and Prince was not on earth. You just do not mess with Prince. You just don't.

Because the truth hurts and it certainly hurt JT because if the video hadn't existed; him and his peeps could have sworn up and down--lying-- that it didn't happen. Or it wasn't as bad as people are saying. Or he was just joking...etc...etc. But that crap couldn't float with the truth so readily available. Now that it's gone, until someone re-uploads it, the hope may be, we'll just forget about it. [Edited 2/7/18 13:50pm] I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

. Thanks for the backhanded comment. . Why am I insane? Insane, because I care about Prince's legacy? Insane, because he didn't want someone singing along with him with his image up on a screen? Insane, because Prince was a JW; God-loving Man and doing those types of things are considered demonic and wrong?! . Oh, I'm insane alright. You know damn well that Prince would NEVER do this to another artist! JTs tribute to Prince was demonic. Read up on occult symbolism....it was all there in the SB halftime show. They were mocking his death, but people are too ignorant to see what they were doing in front of the masses! Read up on ancient roman occult practices -- this is the type of shit they do! Laugh all you want......like I really give a rats ass what you think! . Prince would not be cool with any of this, and if you think for one second that he would.......you never really knew the type of man Prince was!

. JT is probably worried it will hurt his record sales now. He probably doesn't want to hurt his chances at gaining new fans. Well, the fact that they took the footage down just speaks in volumes. . Even if Prince was there that night to accept his award for "Happy Feet", and even if Prince thought that Justin's cute little joke was funny -- it's still not funny. I mean, show some respect. JT didn't know Prince well enough to be cracking jokes like that. I would never, in a million years do that to Prince or anyone for that matter. Maybe he thought it was cute at the time, and later regretted it. I dunno. . Check out what Sinbad had to say about it. . https://www.youtube.com/w...0UoSXKC6A8 .

. Everybody needs a vibrator? I dunno about that one. But, it's all good. . I'm just saying, in JTs video "Filthy", there is a robot having sexual intercourse with a human. I don't know what type of message JT is trying to put out there. Is he saying that one day we will be having sex with robots or we will not be human anymore? I don't think a vibrator even comes close to being a robot, btw. . Allow me to rephrase my comment about the critics. Not all are saying "Man of the woods" is a bad album, but many are. I guess people aren't feeling that whole country-hunting-vibe. I think it's nice that JT is going back to his roots of his homeland, Tennessee. I don't hate JT, I really don't. What I was upset the most was the half-ass tribute he did for Prince. . I didn't mean to speak untruths and I will correct myself when I misspeak. I think "Satan is my Master" was a song written by Ben Folds, and JT put it on one of his albums, but it wasn't his original song. The song was meant to be a joke, but really -- why put that on your album at all? I don't get this all "hail satan" bullshit -- are they trying to be funny or cute? It's not cute. . If you go on YT and look up "Filty" backmasking, you will see the video that is in reverse, and sounds demonic. It might be all a bunch of malarkey, but it is creepy. . I would not say all of Prince's albums were great, because they weren't. Even Prince had songs that he never wanted to play again.
. . [Edited 2/7/18 14:28pm] [Edited 2/7/18 14:28pm] "With love, honor, and respect for every living thing in the universe, separation ceases, and we all become one being, singing one song." - Prince Roger Nelson (1958-2016)

. I think you are 100% correct. I think they ditched the hologram at the last minute. Did they really think they could pull the wool over our eyes? But here's the real kicker........his image up on the screen, with JT singing along......they basically did it anyhow, and went against Prince's wishes! . From what I read, Universal has control over Prince's images, so I don't think his family/estate had any say in the matter. . And, I also think that Sheila E. just gave us a shout-out about the hologram, to make us feel better. . They were trying us.....

"why am I insane?" Then talks about demonic and ancient roman occult practices... You're right. I don't know what kind of man Prince was. I met him once and barely said 10 words to him. From what I could gather he seemed like a genuinely nice, funny guy but I'm basing that off of a 60 second meeting with him. I never truly knew him. Maybe he would have liked the tribute or maybe he wouldn't. Or maybe he just wouldn't have given it a second thought, which I think is most likely.
