Exactly. Thank you for coming out and reminding people about that disch. I know we have org members posting here who live in Chanhassen.

I have tickets for a later date and don't yet know the status so I'm right there with you with the frustration. But saying the town is "selfish" is a bit much. People do live in this community and they have a right to feel comfortable that everything's in place to make sure their neighborhood isn't overly disrupted. The vote was only to delay the opening not deny it. That's understandable to me. The problem is primarily that pp management should have been more diligent about making sure everything was a go prior to selling tickets. - From everything I've read, Prince worked hard to be a good and respectful Chanhassen neighbor and resident and if we're interested in following his lead we should maintain the same respectful attitude toward the community.

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

City Council voted 5-0 to allow 15 temporary permits between now and Oct 24. Things must be going well so far for them to grant additional permits. And one would assume demand is still there if Paisley requested additional permits.

In this article it says that on 10/24 the council will decide if a museum for Prince will stand in the city of Chanhassen.

We've had a several days now where tours have gone on without many, if any, issues. I'm not worried about them eventually approving it as a permanent museum. None of the council members were against it, they just wanted more time to study impacts.

I met three people today touring my city here in Charleston,SC who actually live across from Paisley Park. They told me they didn't want the traffic there, or a tourist attraction. It was no accident I ran into these people, I think it was fate. I will tell you, they were not Prince fans . They told me Prince didn't pay his taxes and laughed about it. They said Prince was a druggie. I let them know how I had told thier council members that Chanhassen residents are not ot welcome in my beautiful city if I'm not welcome there. I told them, they have no right to keep the world from PP and it's been there since 1985. I told them how I had my trip all planned out to Paisley Park then had to cancel it at the last minute and that the whole thing took such an emotional toll on me. They said I should plan another trip and come to Chanhassen! ( I'm thinking what, you are telling me I should come to Chanhassen after you spoke out against tourism there.)
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.
