Episode 2 of the official estate podcast on 1999 is now up. Hopefully plenty of you see this genuine news before it gets moved and buried where no one looks by the mods. https://podcasts.apple.co...0457887570 As Prince pulled away from the spotlight in the winter of 1981-1982, his creative drive began whirring faster than ever. Hear some of the never-before-released material recorded by Prince during this prolific era, alongside stories about his two early '80s workspaces: his home studio on Lake Riley in Chanhassen, Minnesota; and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Host Andrea Swensson interviews Bobby Z., Lisa Coleman, Duane Tudahl, and Peggy McCreary. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

This episode was wonderful. Hearing from those who were there at the time (especially Lisa and Peggy), and hearing the love for Prince in their voices, was really sweet. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

What a fantastic episode. It really brought to life the atmosphere of the recording process - I thought Andrea Swenssen really hit on something about how such a 'city' sounding album was recorded in such an unlikely, suburban place... This is such a great podcast - and what a great interview with Peggy Mccreary

This is such a great podcast - and what a great interview with Peggy Mccreary I love the Int Lover Studio version and hearing the “Peggy are you listening” but now adds so much to feeling like you’re there, having heard her talk about it.
