The RMEN1 will perform the first warm up show leading to the Ides of March this Thursday at The Lucky Cat in Williamsburg, BK. look for it to be a rehearsal setting... kinda like letting in an audience at one of there rehearsals..

also rumor has it... before seeing Flying Machines on Saturday a text was sent to WRG by DreamFirstBorn, Jew... to be continued.

OMG!!!

what an amazing show thursday at the lucky cat.
The RMEN1 was tight as can be... they treated this show as if it were one of there rehearsals preparing for there return to the knitting factory.

a few hours befor DreamFirstBorn, Jew was seen chatting it up with Andre 3000, i think he was trying to convince him to come to the show. I didn't see him there though. there was a big change in the band line up. Christine Be was not at the show and DreamFirstBorn, Jew had everyone cheer out her namme and then he dedicated "Creep" By Radiohead to her actually we i was told they were gonna cover the song on monday i thought... hmmmm i don't know if he can pull it off but my goodness, DreamFirstBorn, Jew surpise me when i sat in on there rehearsal on wednesday night. when they went into it during the show it was pretty intence and very emotional. i must say it was one of the high light during the show.. my favorite part of "Annie Christian" that song just gets better and better.

Dr. Bass and Compton have got a group of fans on there hands... they were shouting during the whole show. it was pretty exciting.

DreamFirstBorn, Jew was standing outside with William Ryan George and I when these two dudes came up to him came up to him and said hey aren't you the guy who played the knitting factory about 2 weeks ago. Jew looked surprised and said yeah and they said are u playing tonight and when Jew replied yes.. they went straight into the club. we had to go through some interesting bands before hand The RMEN1 was supose to be second to last but then the promoter came up to Jew and asked if he would play last because the crowd was there to see them and they would all leave afterwards leaving not much for the band that followed... then Jew went over to the other members of the band to see if it was cool with them. the promoter offered a round of drinks for the band and offered them an ealier slot at the knitting factory on the 15 while still holding the headlining position. it was pretty cool to see DreamFirstBorn, Jew negociate on behalf of the RMEN1. He really Loves his band and he lets everyone know during the show. i must say i see alot of shows here in NYC but and its rare to see the crowd response like the crowd at there shows. its so much fun and everyone seems to be having a great time. one of my favorite parts is when the band launched into the Guilty jam... DreamFirstBorn, Jew called out to these girls in the crowd and yell out her i come jump down from the stage and began dancing with all of them at once... HOT HOT HOT!!!!

on a funny note... DreamFirstBorn, Jew gets so nervouse before the show at one point he was faced in a corner in a dark part of the club.. a girl went up to him and said to him... what are u doing... and he replied... hiding he replied.. it was funny.

anyhow thats my report for now...

they have a show coming up on monday at trash bar in williamsburg...
rumor has it... Kid Danger - Adam will be wearing a rat suit???? and Compton will be recreating the cock in a sock made famous by the red hot chilli peppers....

u never know with these guys...

hey you guys!!!

sorry about the dissappearing act for the past few days...

the show on monday was an interesting show... we missed our only rehearsal on saturday the weekend before so this show was completely unrehearsed... we decided to do something different this show since it was at the imfamous Trash Bar in Brooklyn. after we got all set up we excused ourself for a moment... went downstairs and stripped down to our underwear with the exception of "Kid Danger" he put on a rat suit... tail and all. this was the first time we had a show were i wasn't as nervous as i usually get... but as soon as we all agreed on doing it in our skivies... boom!!!! the nervousness peeked to an all time high. Compton was actually going to go out ala Red Hot Chilli Peppers with the sock on the cock thing... but we talked him out of it at the last moment... yep on our way out we were surrounding him from all angels cuz we had to walk through the bar inorder to get to the stage room.... we talked him out of it cuz there was a cop in the building and we didn't want him to get arrested... though it would have been interesting... lets just say i won't be doing that anytime again soon. i don't know how Prince did it back in the day.. in a way its kinda of freeing but at the same time its weird thinking everyone could be looking at .... what ever...
the show was fun...
there are some pictures and as soon as i come across some of them i will post them... either myself or Dawn.
this show and the show the thursday before were all warm up shows for the knitting factory coming up on the 15 of march... we got some rehearsing to do this week and next it should be a really exciting show....

coolest part of this show was afterwards a guy came right up to me and told me that the band... TV on The Radio sent him to check out the show... that was coolo to hear...

i have just moved into a new place that i will be staying for a month or so... have started to paint again. this is a couple drafts from of the new PaperCrayons series... look for more within this thread.

i am really excited about our show coming up here in NYC at The Knitting Factory saturday... this is our second show there.... we are hoping to sell it out like our last show there. if anyone is in town come check us out... look for the rehearsal ep... we will probably put up some of the songs on myspace.... this cd will be at the Knitting Factory show... be sure to get one.
