Yeah, the sound was miserable because of poor settings and equipment at the theater. They just dialed it up, almost to the point of distortion, and left us there to suffer! The SF crowd was relatively sparse for a "sold-out" viewing - lots of empty seats. The crowd was our usual diverse and very pleasant group. Everyone seemed to have a nice time.

As for the DVD, I actually felt ready for the hand-held video quality, so I didn't let it bother me. Prince hammed it up a little too much in this video for my tastes. I attended the ONA concert L.A. on 4-19 (AnnaStesia performance!), and was blown away. In contrast, the Las Vegas performance left me a little numb. Was it the unusual setlist?

Oddly, highlights for me were 2 non-Prince songs: "Push and Pull" with Nikka Costa and "Whole Lotta Love." The TRC material works well with the current band, but some of the older material seemed, well, "flat" to me.

Still wanna say thank you to Prince for the screening. It's nice enjoying these sorts of membership benefits.

I had a blast - rockin' in my seat the entire time. It was short but didn't feel that way when watching it. Performances were great and he looked like he was having a great time. Thanks Prince for taking us to the movies...AGAIN!
