H-Town Screening...

Nicely put together for folks from Houston, Dallas, Austin and Louisianna...

Everyone was in a mood for this showing. Local R&B station Majic 102 was in the house with some nice goodies for fams; including some DVDs for prizes in trivia...

The show started a little after 8PM with the "soundcheck" portion. It ended after the credits (no bonus track). The sound was banging sho nuf. The picture left a little to be desired. This was a big house (seats 600+), so transferring a DVD to the bigscreen is quite limiting. However, as I already have the DVD, I can testify that the picture is far supperior on a TV...

Much props to Lovette at the theater for saving the show by locating a DVD tranfer player for the theater. The East Coast blackout prevented proper equiptment to be sent from NYC. She saved the show after it was cancelled this morning and, in turn, made a lot of people very happy...

To all of you who were there, let's make H-Town Xotica the 'true' SE Texas connection to the NPG. Stay in touch...

Peace, and keep it on the 1, peterv

Was at the H-Town screening and had a great time. I answered a question and got a T-Shirt, and my buddy answered the Trivia question and got the free DVD which he gave to me because he already had it.dancing jig

Like has already been stated, the picture wasn't the greatest but the sound was out of this world. The audience showed some emotion, which was fun, and I definitely left wanting more. I was so happy Prince chose Houston as one of the cities (by the way does anyone know what the selection of cities was based upon?)

Overall, I really enjoyed myself.

PeterV, got your flier, and I hope to make an appearance.
I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

YEAH I know P don't do purple anymore.. but it is STILL my favorite color! cool I agree the picture quality wasn't all that, but the sound was waaay cool. I wanted to jump outta my seat! I am gonna try to make the purple gathering at the end of the month.. might have to take a day off..(cough-cough..sniff sniff..I might come down with a cold lol)
