Printable Tha chat room was tha only place i had issues. Prince's concept and intenions, I felt them, but tha members was ignorant rude childish and stupid,Prince would post a topic up b4 entering tha chat room, giving people somethin 2 talk about. Do u think it was respected ? no. clean and unity, was a joke 2 them. Tha best thing Prince could have done,was kicked their azzez out, so he could get control of it, becoz i didnt c any respect, r anything that even reminded me of Prince in tha chat.It really was a spit in tha face and in tha face of any1 that join tha club becoz of their love and intrest in Prince and tha truth that he wanted to share with "tha family". Suppose he wanted 2 sit in on tha discussions Shit! unless he wanted to teach tha mentally handicaped, he would really feel out of place. Kick them azzez out ur house, and clean it up,my lord and if they dont pull off dem shoes b4 entering yo house let them azzez stand outside.Question is how do u get them 2 "pull off dem shoes"? Money improves tha quality of it's audience. It didn't really explain why, but they did make folks aware. Hell, more than half of you wouldn't have known about it if you really never went to NPGMC in the first place
But for those who signed up when the price dropped... c'mon you should've gotten your money's worth. For those who popped up in this forum asking every 3 weeks "Should I join?" and "Why should I join?" and joined this summer in hopes of cheaper concert tickets... I've really got no sympathy for you and I don't think you've got a real reason to be bitter. You were give an advantage just like everyone else and you waited until you thought it would benefit you... it's just a wrong place, wrong time type of deal. If you joined last week, I'd ask for the money back. But if you waited until 3121 dropped, nahhh!!! Was the club all that is could have been? In my opinion, that's a definite no. No useless flash crap. No heavy graphics. No lame princebonics. True interactivity: trying to determine where to do concerts by asking fan input and doing polls. Sample downloads of upcoming releases. Plenty of updates, for instance while he's on tour pictures from each concert, if possible a short video excerpt,... Useful information: track listing of upcoming albums including track times, recording details, etc. No lame boyband type crap for sale (underpants, candles,...) but MUSIC stuff for affordable prices. And I'd also want to release live CDs / DVDs without overdubs, compilations of vault tracks, extended "ultimate" versions of classic albums (additional mixes, alternate versions, outtakes,...). But then again in the first year of NPGMC they didn't manage to fulfill the MINIMAL requirements of the contract half the time. © Bart Van Hemelen

I think this is just a return to the pre-musicology business model, when we were charged higher, yearly fees, but received more products. Prince is going hardcore again after a few years of courting the mainstream. Larry has already returned and the last few "intimate" concerts had a paisley park party feel to them (with much more expensive admission, though!)
So Prince will be back to extracting as much money as he can from his hardcore fans, something that didn't work so well with 3121 due to various factors, including the leak. I was shocked when Prince failed to sell the same recordings twice with that record, as he had managed to do so with TRC and Musicology (first the downloads, then the cds -- but this time a large chunk of his fans got 3121 for free two weeks in advance - at least). Therefore, crack open your wallets, get the credit card ready -- you will soon be asked to join a new club with a yearly, higher fee. | |
