Other artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, and others charge big bux for their shows, so this tix price does not surprise me. Plus it's Vegas where tix are at outrageous prices

If there was a tour already announced and cheaper tickets were further down the line, then many that would shell out the money for this gig would just save it for the tour proper. There's no way on Earth that a proper tour of decent sized venues would be able to sell many tickets with a price tag that high - 'regular' people just can't afford it and Celebs/rich people are far too busy to follow Prince around on tour for more than a date or 2!

This is a really strange high price - it's okay comparing it to other Vegas shows, but they usually put on a spectacular and only the best seats are that expensive - this is general admission, which means you may be stuck right at the back and paid the same price as someone who is upfront! To think in '95 I went to see an aftershow in London for £25... I wonder if there will be an aftershow to this show for an even HIGHER price, he he..

He's just competing with Mad-donna -- who will also be there that weekend (and other Vegas celeb prices). How odd that his JHW holiness isn't doing something really outside the moneygrubbing herd and announced giving some of the money to an interesting charity.

Frankly, I'm tired of the gimmicks. pitiful Crystal Ball (not a) Globe, Purple Tix, Holograms, Vegas triteness, mediocre musical pastiche, ... P needs to get back into the bizness of making good music that can stand on its own. 3121 was Prince light he needs to put out something that reflects the experience sophistication and maturity of someone who has been making music for 3 decades and still has something interesting that proves he shouldn't just hang up the geetar, the doo-rags, and kick up his high heels and grow old and irrelevant gracefully.

Artists who care about the music they're making and don't treat their fans like punk suckers: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ani DiFranco, Wynton Marsalis, OutKast, Erykah Badu, etc. ... Not P.

if prince just pulls out the same set list he's been doing with tamar and that he did at the purple ticket party, i'll feel bad for my friends who are shelling out the dough to go, though honestly, i think he could play the greatest hits of boxcar willie and they wouldn't even care.

what i hope he does is treat everyone to a preview of his next tour, and serve up a set list that will knock everyone's socks off and make the three hundred dollar tickets well worth it.

The source for my statement about the test is very reliable and that person got it directly from Prince's camp. I believe it but I understand peoples scepticism.

Paying $312 for general admission, in a venue that holds 1000+, where you are in amongst the crazy elbowing drunks, is just insane pricing.

i wouldn't pay over fifty dollars to see prince in a general admission club setting (well, okay, other than the aftershow i paid seventy five bucks for, but that's different, because...it just IS!) - if i'm paying good money, i want to at least know i have a seat that is MINE that other people won't try to scam on or take over or weasel me out of. three hundred bucks for the way people behave at a general admission show is just masochism.
