All right. Say I were an international distributor of pure South American cocaine. $312.01 would be nuthin' to me. Three hundred? Ha! I'd laugh, get reeeealy high, have unprotected sex with some chick and buy a stack of tickets with the crispest cash you ever seen. Yep.

But no, I ain't no dope dealer. I'm just a normal negro - a regular cat with glasses sittin' at his desk and doin' his job. I ain't got no damn three hundred twelve dollars for that - it ain't that serious.

Alas that's the point. Thank you, Prince, for the invitation to see your concert in Las Vegas amongst the celebrities, moguls and cocaine dealers - obviously this ain't the one for me. I ain't mad at 'cha at all, bruh. You're the same dude that played at Tower on Sunset for $0.00. You're also the same dude that asked for a $100 ticket...but invited us to the soundcheck before the show. That was the shit. Maybe you do like us. Sometimes.

Who knows? Maybe they'll film this show...but with actual professional equipment and a crew, unlike the Aladdin DVD. Anybody listening?

So I miss him this time. Oh well. C'est la vie. He'll be back...frickin' elf.

When he pays the free ones with the expensive ones then it's a done deal... smile

This will probably be released on dvd or used for a tv special. This is the only reasonable explanation that I can see why P would charge $312.10.

I ain't gonna lie, if I had the extra cash, I would be there in a heartbeat. Many of u know u would also.

Guys...I'm for knocking Prince when he's shitting on his fans just like the next head...But i think a lot of you folks fail to see that this is just another promotional tool...The midget can get away with it because the show is: a) at a small club; and b) it's in FUCKING LAS VEGAS...Do you guys think he's going to be charging $312.00 for an entire tour???? Come on...it's one thing to bitch about regular fans not getting into the gig...it's quite another to be naive about the people the midget is trying to attract to this show (celebrities, the press and die-hard fans who got money to burn...) Seriously folks...it's just not that serious to have a torch and pitch fork midget beatdown...Again; the gig is at Las Vegas...Follow the money.....

I agree that it is a Las Vegas show and that Prince can charge more money. But asking $312.01 per ticket is still a bit over the top, dontcha think??

Respect as always...Well, I don't think the price is over-the-top at all...As I stated in my previous post, it's merely a marketing tool for the midget...I mean look at it this way: When your album is called 3121 and you are charging $312.01 and you are doing it in Las Vegas (read: MONEY TO BURN) there's a method to the madness...It aint nothing but an exclusive event aimed at getting some serious press; that's all...Now if the midget goes about setting such high ticket prices for his upcoming tour (assuming there is a tour) then I'll be joining the rest of you motherfuckers in shitting on Prince for his "greed"....

Ya'll are some cheap bastards. Listen, I will NEVER PAY 312.02 to see Prince live. However, he is one of the biggest stars in the world and if he can charge that and get people to show up---more power to him.
We live in a capitalist nation. He worked his ass off be able to earn that kind of $$$$$. And there have been many times where I have seen Prince do 3 hour private gigs for $7 or less. No one seems to bitch about that--or praise it. Prince isn't robbing you-either you think it's worth it or you don't. It's your choice, so why bitch like Prince is harming you personally?

Yall know good and doggone well that it will not be a damn Tamar show. When Tamar was headlining, the tickets were $31.21. The email clearly states that Tamar will just be a special guest. rolleyes

I bet he plays a short set of mostly 3121 songs, maybe 15 songs, it will average out to be about $1,000 trip at about $70 bucks a song.

I didn't whine about anything. I just said I couldn't afford to go. I figured since it wasn't much of an expense in your mind, you could help out a fellow fan. I think it's great Prince is charging three hundred dollars a ticket...I think he should charge three thousand! biggrin

well, if i hadn't been sick for the past three weeks and forced to claim short term disability, and if my doctor hadn't sat on my paperwork for two and a half of those three weeks and caused me to not get my most recent paycheck as a result, and if i didn't have a bunch of bills that i currently can't pay as a result of all this, i'd surely be happy to give prince all my money to spend a weekend in las vegas with you guys having a great time. but since all these things are the case, i'll be waiting for him to swing around chicago again, and hopefully he won't be charging madonna/stones money for tix.

it's cool...i'm going to lollapalooza in august for a fraction of the price and seeing a generous handful of bands i like, and some bands i'm just starting to get into, like gnarls barkley. and it's just a two dollar/fifteen minute train ride from my apartment! biggrin

one day when my resources align with the event, i'll go to one of these crazy prince shows. it's just been my crummy luck that whenever something like this happens, i'm always broke or have other plans.

Um, not once was I addressing you specifically--just people in general who take it as a personal insult when Prince charges high ticket prices. Honestly, these prices are quite typical from a performer/artist of Prince's fame/caliber. All I am saying is that these are not the usual prices for his shows--his fans should recognize that Prince has OFTEN been very generous at treating his fans to amazing live shows at relatively low prices. Examples of this would be: The celebrations, sound checks, countless after parties, Paisley Park shows, etc. Again, I will not/cannot pay the price for this show-but it's not air or water-just a Prince concert.
