Prince has recorded a gazillion songs in a couple of hours. But you guys pretend like that is so special, and releasing a song online within days of recording it is so damn special. Like I said: it's been done before. Try looking up how much time passed bewteen the White Stripes recording their latest album and the first single being available on iTunes. It's a rare ability, I would say, at the least. Kudos to the White Stripes who I like a lot, however it's a lot easier to avoid recurring themes when you haven't been in the industry for 25 years. Perhaps in 20 years a White Stripes fan will be going, "Oh not another umpteenth variation on the same boring theme"! | |
