Outspoken for dance parties, future releasing music, PP tour, and tribute concerts.

But stay quiet about unexplained answers of Prince's death also what about charity? Big brother Prince was a secret philanthrophist. And also Prince didn't excluded his fans either during his final months alive as he was trying to tell us something despite perserving the legacy.

Honestly, it isn't anyone's business. Not sure why everyone thinks someone's health/personal information should be a "free for all". This is ridiculous. He was very private and kept most of his personal life private. Why should it be different now??? IF and WHEN the family ever decides they want the public to know (assuming they know something), they will release it. WHY the focus on his death and not his life/music/legacy????? Off topic of the Dance party, but just had to get it out....URGGGG

Dude, get off ur high horse.
There is a need to preserve his honor, which is all im trying to do. Have u not heard the wendy williams rant? Many ppl think he was a druggie now. You can directly attribute that to the records not being released. Speculation run amok.
What are they trying to hide?

Preserver his honor...is that what you all are doing with endless speculation? This is what is wil be the demise of his legacy/honor. Focus on the life and music NOT his death. Again, this is not the place for this topic. There are other threads about that. This thread is for the discussion of the dance party the family is hosting. I, for one, appreciate them reaching out. They OWE us NOTHING.

I definitely plan to be present for one of the parties while in Minne just because I'm looking forward to hanging out with the purple fam and celebrating Prince. I have my opinions about the entire matter surrounding his death too but I think the chance to get together with people that understand the grief is bigger than all of that.

That's a good point. I would encourage anyone in the area to attend at least one dance party for that reason alone! It's very cathartic. The weekend after his death there were plenty of them - although those were free to attend.

.

I guess it bugs me that these "official family" events all come with ticket prices - it seems crass to charge for memorials - in my opinion. I'm pretty sure Spike Lee, First Avenue, etc. weren't selling tickets to their events in April (and again in June) But then I'm not going so I hope that those who do are not dissapointed and I'm looking forward to reading about the experiences of you all.

Each night the dance parties will include:

DJ, Live Band, Special VIP Guests and an opportunity to meet & greet Prince's family.

Also, dining will be provided by Paisley Park's very own WholeSoul!

The price range varies. Please check out this link for all the details:

Wed or Fri night HUM. Driving up from Oklahoma and staying WED-SUN (mini vacation) I'm was leaning towards wed night but a friend that is flying up from chicago that evening and going to the concert didn't seem to intrested in going. He is flying back Friday evening so I guess Friday night it is. I think I might of prefered Wed as it might be less crowded but then again i think every night is going to be pretty busy. That being said I'm going for the 31.21 tickets. With concert tickets, hotel, PP tour tickets, money is getting a little tight. Who is is going? What night and what price point?

Agree with everything you've posted. We know what caused his death. Nothing else is our business as far as his health goes. Hope the family keeps it that way.

I was hoping some of the latter associates, musicians would be a part of these celebrations/tributes, so glad to see Judith Hill here.

It would be nice to know what the Special Gift gift would be given it's $45 more. Early entry don't mean much to me. People will move around and it doesn't look that that huge of a place. Hold around 1,100 so it's small then first ave?

Yep! It's all about honoring Prince and his legacy. Celebrating him and his works as a fam. Wendy williams is a souless opportunist. She doesn't matter.

I hope there will be more of these type of celebrations at somepoint in the future - I live 1,000+ miles away and cannot make it in October. Pretty please!

It's quite lovely how all of those that were closest to Prince before he passed away are coming together to honor him at all of these official public celebrations/memorial tributes being held in mid-October.

It's beautiful.

$250 for meet and greet with family. eek

Have any of the family members said if they're going to be at Xcel? I hope this event is a compliment to that and not seem as a competing event. It's nice to have something for people who couldn't get tickets to Xcel show or might be in town doing a PP tour.

Given that the doors open at 8 the night of the concert, I'm thinking it is a competing event and the family will not be at the concert. Or at least not for long.

It is weird how I just don't include Liv and Judith in any excitement I would have for something like this. Even though I appreciate them both and their music.
