absolutely because it's gona have some people feel that the concert was missing something important or that the line-up was not good enough for Prince to show up.. You are already seeing some responses like that in this thread! it's total disrespect to pull out like this for the fans and artists involved yet you're okay with this dick move

To me his tweets mean that he is not performing and that his way of answering the question... Sorry for those who got tix but I feel perhaps Tidal jumped the gun putting him on the bill without confirmation... It is sold out so at least those who want can resell their tix easily...

This is what - the 5th, 10th, 15th time someone has announced Prince as a headliner/performer, only to have it not materialize?

How can so many promoters get it wrong so many times? Does Prince break his word? Does he say one thing but mean another? Is he a mumbler and he says the phrase "I'll play your event if you pay me enough" come out sounding like "I'm in!"?

I really want to know how this can happen so many times.

I imagine Prince sometimes says he's in, then figuring they are backed into a corner now because he's announced as a headliner, demands his fee, like immediately or so, they can't come up with it, negotiations fail because Prince ain't having it, so he bails. Then he trolls them by playing all his new Tidal music at his houseparty, for like 6 people and all his decades of current and ex-girlfriends, leaving promotors to wonder like 'what if?', just as a fuggU, since nobody sent him the millions dollars and whatnot.

If Prince really bailed on the concert because of a fee and/or he because he's too good to perform with the rest of the line-up, but has the audacity to show up to play at the after party. I do not see that ending well, at all.
