Not being able to print tickets is a massive balls up for a show in 24 hrs IMO confused

.

.

Ticketfast dont come right away, they have to wait some transactions and things can be rejected after it goes through, which is why sometimes more tickets go on sale for events. Should be with you for morning id hope.

Yeah, I can't print mine off either. Tried phoning Ticketmaster, held on forever so gave up. Now sent a message through their Facebook page. No response yet.

Ticketmaster are saying they will be available to print tonight or tomorrow AM.

that's pretty useless. i need to leave here in a few mins to get to london so i'm gonna have to faff around camden looking for somewhere to print a ticket they charged me £8 booking fee for. it was instant with eventim for the manc shows

It wasn't even 12.01 and I got row C.

Must be holding tickets for industry types etc and their own bastard touts no doubt.

Does anyone know how many seats in a row at the Roundhouse, I can't find it anywhere?

Cheers

wink

I just spoke to them and was told that Row B (I assume it's the same for Row C or as near as dammit) runs from 1 to 102 with 1 being stage left and 102 being stage right so around seat 50 would be facing the stage head on. I'm Row B 97 and 98 so will be to right hand side of the stage but am assured by Roundhouse that it's a good view and won't just see the side of everything

There is an internet cafe near Camden tube station on Kentish Town Road, by the rear entrance to the Electric Ballroom I think.

I know 9 people who managed to get through and bag seats in the first minute and all got B or C. I got F (not fussed in a venue this size).

As long as you don't get a pillar (risk anywhere in the Roundhouse) then I think the sides are the better view, as they are much nearer the stage than the middle, due to the semi circle shape.

Tried to get seated tix for my girlfiend and I (as she's short and couldn't see a thing at Shepherds Bush) and then my computer crashed at 11.59!! When it rebooted, couldn't get the seated tix after trying a few times, so then went on to try for standing - nothing doing. Not a happy chappy. Grrrr... cry mad duh

They will sometimes scan them off a smart phone, you could check with the venue and see if they do that?

just got this in my inbox

Prince & 3rd Eye Girl - Roundhouse, London

Hi there,

Don’t forget – the cardholder has to attend!

The name of the lead booker will be printed on each print at home ticket. All tickets must be printed prior to arriving at the venue. The name cannot be changed once the booking has been made.

The lead booker will be asked to present photo ID to gain entry into the venue. Photo ID must be in its original format, copies will not be accepted.

All members of your party must arrive together.

The event organisers are still working with us on a few final details before we can make your tickets available to print.

They should be made available later today - please keep trying.

Thanks for your patience and we hope you enjoy the show!

Best Wishes,
Ticketmaster Customer Service

My hope of Thursday gig isn't looking good (I can't do Wed).

The Roundhouse has a decent bar attached to the venue, it also has a side door which will take you through to the venue (and toilets) saving you having to queue outside....

What is going on with the strict 11pm curfew that the Roundhouse has? Their website says doors for the second show are 9.45, so presumably they must have permission for the curfew to be extended, otherwise the show is going to be very short....

Hello purple people,

It's been a while since I posted, but with all the P fever hitting London thought I'd break out of my lurker status.

I was one of the lucky ones to get 2 tix Row C for the first show. HOWEVER I have an issue with the ticket booking which I really hope someone can help me with....spent 1.5 hours on the phone to Ticketmaster to resolve with no luck and no helpful people.

I was buying the tickets as a present for a sick friend and my sister. I tried 3 credit cards in the my sisters name but Ticketmaster's website kept rejecting the card details because there wasn't a "salutation field" so when I was entering the card name in the "forename" and "surname" I was dropping the "Mr/Miss". The site kept saying "please enter the name as it appears on the credit card"

In the end with sheer desparation to secure the tickets I used my credit card and managed to figure out in the last 30 seconds that I had to put the saluation in with the forename field.

As I share the surname as my sister I thought that I would then be able to buy the tickets then transfer the tickets by speaking to Tickermaster/venue etc.

I'm not a tout and genuine P fan who was trying to do something special for my sister and her friend. After spending 1.5 hours on the phone with Ticketmaster they won't help me one bit. They won't even let me collect the tickets at the event.

Me going tomorrow isn't an option as I have a commitment.

It's awful to see that tickets are going for £1000 and yet Ticketmaster can't help genuine fans who had an issue with their website.

Can any orgers help/advise me if there is anyway around this please?

Thanks!

Not really as they're asking for photo ID too in the form of a photo driving licence and the picture must match the name on the licence and the credit card.

Hi strawberrybubblegum thank you!

That's simple enough, but it's the issue of photographic ID which I can't get around.

According to Ticketmaster they will be checking photographic ID. So providing a credit card is simple.

They won't even let me line up and then give the tickets over those attending.

Really stuffed right now!

Can any other orgers help/suggest please?

The likelihood of them checking is pretty slim for 3,000 odd people. Same surname too? Surely a photo id with the same surname is going to convince even the most hardened doorman? Easy for me to say, I know. Give her your credit card too. No tout is going to do that for sure.

In the past ( I think it was Radiohead shows, but I can't quite remember) there were touts on ebay who would actually send you their credit card too for access- they just rang up and cancelled the card with the bank before sending it you!

I really wouldn't worry about the photo thing. 1. They have little time to check this two times over and 2. They work at a venue no passport control lol give her yoir passport. Itll be ok.

For the special arcade fire gigs at the roundhouse last year a credit card was plenty, no photo id checks. Could be different but I doubt it...

Thanks eggy.

I spoke to the Roadhouse and they said they are yet to meet with Ticketmaster yet to finalise details of how the checks will run tomorrow.

Hopefully I can show them my ID and then let my sister and her friend through. Why do they make is so difficult for real P fans ey?

Thanks guys

The question I have is how do the scalpers charging £1000 a ticket get around the photo ID issue?

For some of the showsn in Feb where people had bought from seat wave etc they were allowing people to bring a letter from the cardholder. Have they said anything about that?

Hi Pandemonium, thanks for the reply.

Ticketmaster customer services wasn't budging at all on their T&Cs and said the only option left was to offer me refund (which is worthless as we all know as P fans wink. I think it will be a matter of negotiating on the night with the local entry staff. So will just try my luck or forefeit the tickets.

They didn't mention the option of providing a letter. I haven't had any experience of the restrictions at the previous 3EG events so was looking to find out other orgers experiences.

I went the Kings Place gig and that was cash on the door, no ID.

Hey ho, let's see what happens.

Thanks
