What are people thinking for set lists? I'm going with 3 uneducated people so would like to prep them on the likely songs.

I've seen 3rd Eye Girl twice now - Las Vegas in 2013 and London last February.

You'll be guaranteed to get most of the following songs:

Let's Go Crazy Reloaded

Screwdriver

FIXURLIFEUP

Bambi

Chaos & Disorder

Colonized Mind

Endorphinmachine

The Breakdown (they played this a lot on the Live Out Loud tour but not at the UK Feb dates, but it's been released since then)

Play That Funky Music

Plectrum Electrum

Guitar

FunkNRoll

She's Always In My Hair (slowed down version)

I Like It There

Dreamer

Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)

Cause & Effect

and then chances are he'll do the following songs solo on the piano:

Purple Rain

Adore

How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore

Diamonds & Pearls

Do Me Baby

The Beautiful Ones

and then, if he does the sampler set as well (which he usually does these days) you may get the following, some he'll just rock an instrumental, some he'll sing a verse or two, some of them he may loop the groove and pick up a guitar or bass and jam over the top:

777-9311

Nasty Girl

Sign O The Times

The Most Beautiful Girl In The World

Hot Thing

Housequake

When Doves Cry

Forever In My Life
Breakfast Can Wait

Mr Goodnight

I'd be happy with that
biggrin

Judging by the amount of tickets still left and the sheer amount of tout sites with tickets outstanding, I reckon if you wait you could well pick up some bargains on the day before or on the day...

To be honest, I havent got the money now and the closer it gets the less money I'll have. Unfortunately it seems obvious now that Feb was a warm up for this. As has been well documented (by me) my Feb experience left me unfulfilled so I feel like I'm missing out big time

Co-incides with the purple rain anniversary, I suspect he might. They could be rehearsing it right now biggrin

Remember when he suddenly returned to playing mountains and gold a few years back? No one thought they would ever happen...

Dr Funkenberry is doing a spreecast on Wednesday to discuss the UK shows and Marcus Anderson from the Hornz is special guest.. Anyone thinking there may be a connection?

I know it's just speculation, but I'd love to see the Hornz with the NPG as well as 3EG. I'd miss the funk if it was 3rdEye only. A sweet blend of NPG-funk and 3rdEye guitar-rock (similar to the Mohegan Sun shows) would be perfect for me.

I'm definitely hoping for a different line up after seeing two shows in Feb. The shows in Feburary were my first time seeing Prince live, so I've never seen him in his more 'typical' funk/pop mode.

Yeah, likewise. I've never seen him (missed out on Manc tix in feb) - as much as I'm interested in seeing 3rdEye, I really wanna see "classic" Prince at his best.
It's fair enough if you're one of those who has seen him do the classics 1000 times already, but most haven't. Bearing in mind the last time he did a regional UK arena tour was almost 20 years ago, I think it would be unwise not to do any "typical" Prince stuff. I know he built hype for 3rdEye in February, but just one night at the Phones4U arena in Manchester is almost double the people he played to on the entire Hit and Run tour in Feb. The majority of people there are gonna want the classics.

I got my standing ticket for Leeds £125...

First time to see him in 20 years and this could well be the last time he tours the UK, so to hell with the cost!!

Do or do not, there is no try...

I'm thinking the same thing (about the last time tour) but just can't afford to go ..it's not a case of "it's a it pricey", I literally don't have the money and have other things that must be paid before I could even entertain a £73 ticket.

I figure he's not getting any younger and gone are the days when he toured every year so, if there's another 7 years before he decided to do the rounds again, who knows what could happen in that time

What's everyone's plan for friday 16th in manchester? I bought a ticket for me and a friend but not sure if he can come now, so weighing up my options of just heading down on my todd again and selling 1 ticket or selling both of them and just going the Saturday night confused

Yeah you could choose in the post or Ticketfast where they are meant to send them after payment by email but they havent sent them. I'd imagine its due to the promoter wanting them to be sent out as late as possible to try and avoid people selling them because the dates are not fully sold out so every ticket sold on ebay etc... cuts into their sales.

Anybody know what the NEC/LG Arena parking costs are? NEC website say £10 per day but that doesn't mention times and if you pre-book and arrive before 6:30pm it's £35.

Anybody any experience of this? What time does the £10 cover?

Dont worry about it smile I really dont know what to do, going to have to be early to get anywhere near the front and im currently working until lunch time and have to get into town from Altrincham. Going to re-evaluate the situation on thursday and if we're not busy take a full day. But I really dont fancy queing for that length of time this time as potentially 1000's could have the same idea. and the show doesnt start until 8pm after doors opening at 6pm!

.

I thought maybe getting further back close to the sound engineers (The best sound here) so I could justify going down a little later. then im seated on the sat.
