Well I'm not travelling down from Yorkshire for it; it's a ridiculous way to operatate and organise these gigs.

Hey Ellie,

What's the queue like? Can you get your ticket and then come back for the show or queue up until the doors open?

Only in Prince land would fans complain about the timing of a show when tickets are going for a ridiculous 10 pounds....

Man...fuck this place...lol

Someone said something about 5pm sale for 7pm door opening but not confirmed. I'd say less than 400 in line right now. A few people pissed at the price and are either leaving or going to cash machines.

Good luck to everyone heading to the venue to get tickets...especially my friend Jill...

I think everyone deserves a chance to see P live. I get the feeling that many orgers have see him so many times that they feel they are owed something. If the £70 ticket price is too much for you fair enough, tonight is not for you so...I don't think there is any excuse for being hostile or negative towards anyone.

Be happy and be safe...

I haven't got a problem with the price. It's the short notice. My wife works evenings and I have 2 kids. 2 days is all I need to arrange a sitter

I agree Murph; they are the most entitled folks I've ever seen. I am glad Prince gives nary a fuck about their whining..They've also have predicted his demise since the org has been around not realizing his last make or break it proect was 1980's Dirty MInd

For those of you not familiar with the Shepherd's Bush Empire, it is on multiple levels:

Capacity 2,000.

Stalls - Standing - 1,150.

(If you are of smaller stature I'd think twice about this section, as there is no sloped floor, though there is a raised platform section at the back behind the mixing desk. I'm 187cm and even I can find the viewing variable from the flat floor.

Balcony Level 1 - unreserved seating - 340 seats.

Balcony Level 2 - unreserved seating - 225 seats.

Balcony Level 3 - unreserved seating - 285 seats.

There is a cloakroom.

There is a strict 23:00 hours noise curfew, so no aftershow is feasible here due to surrounding residents.

Security is normally well organised outside and inside the venue.

How's the queue looking now? Considering leaving for the venue, but want to try and ensure I'll have a chance of getting through the door, particularly as there's no second gig.

yes yeahthat .... damn good point. I'd rather pay £70 for guaranteed entry with security people taking care of all the d*ckheads than pay £10 and take my life in my hands! biggrin

I know it is slightly frustrating for longtime fans not being able to go at such short notice but maybe the point is to let others who it does suit to go.

I know price is not the issue for most as I know I've paid over the odds for P tickets in the past just to get great seats.

I hope tonight all those going are treated to a wonderful show. The short notice means I cannot go but I am happy that others can go and am not going to say anyting negative about notice, price or planning.

It is what it is...

I've updated the section seating capacity from the AMG website, so ya know where you will likely get a ticket for if you are queuing.

This sucks. I live in London and would have gone knowing it would be cheap. Me and my wife can't just theoretically afford £140 to get in. It gets people who aren't serious about it out of the way, yes, but I feel like I've been duped nonetheless.
