This sucks. I live in London and would have gone knowing it would be cheap. Me and my wife can't just theoretically afford £140 to get in. It gets people who aren't serious about it out of the way, yes, but I feel like I've been duped nonetheless.

To be fair, Prince has already said tickets will be cheap. It was apparently the venue which tweeted the price - and subsiquently deleted their tweet.

My friend has just got inside. Said the queue was very organised and efficient by the venue, moving very quick to get inside.

Confirmed: £10 a ticket.

Additional Info EDIT:
Also, his friend is good friends with Brian May, and told him the other day that Brian had reached out to Prince via their respective management teams to meet up to talk whilst he was in town. I know Brian lives locally, so wouldn't surprise me if he turns up on stage with him tonight or another forthcoming show. This venue seems the more likely of those options however if it were to happen.

Still, I don't know the guy, and only passing along what i've heard. Whether it even comes to pass is another matter.

Someone tweeted a photo of their ticket.. it says £70 on it, but they're only charging £10.

The apparent £70 price tag will surely have filtered out a lot of the bandwagon-jumpers who caused problems at the Electric Ballroom show the other night. If that was intended, then it was a clever move.

Yep...all the folks griping about the 70 price tag (and there were a lot...lol) are feeling some kinda way now....

Someone else Tweeted out the same message: "PSA: Shepherds Bush Empire lied. Tickets aren't £70, they're £10. Basically Prince's way of sorting the fans from the non fans.

Looks like it's started, and on time too, my friend who is there just posted two pics of Prince on stage, about five minutes ago.

Good news about the price drop but he won't be able to use that trick again. Have a great night those of you at the concert.

Did everyone get in, or are they still queuing in the hope of a second gig? I found out too late this afternoon and decided not to risk a 2-hour drive on the off chance of a second gig, especially after wandering Soho last Thursday, ending up at Ronnie Scott's watching a great jazz quartet - bemused by the presence of 100s of Prince fans - then driving back to the West Country, getting to bed at 5am, up again at 8am for work! Took me until today to recover from that!

Really hope all those who have queued patiently for hours get to see a show!

Well I guess he may play another show elsewhere, I'm just curious as to how many people are still hanging around outside SBE, if any. I was amazed on Thursday at the stick-ability of Prince fans in the face of no firm evidence as to his whereabouts!

I can't believe that, having seen photos of the queue, especially if 800 odd were queuing 4-5 hours before the doors opened.

This info came out through various Tweets of people that were waiting in the line maybe 20 minutes or so ago....

600 spots left...Remember...there were more than a few people who left when they "thought" the show was going to be 70 pounds...lol

Typical, spent friday and Saturday in London in nothing but hope and was less than 2mile from SBE at the same time the gig was announced on the Saturday. Gutted is not the word.
Hope there is more than few fans who travelled to London in hope still kicked around long enough to catch this gig.
Am sure all lucky enough to have been in the right place at the right time will have a great night.
As for me am a few hundred lighter and my feet are killing me!

I feel for you. I was there during the tube strike last Thursday, so must have spent a ton in just one night on taxis and drinks whilst scouring the forum on one phone and twitter on another for a hint of where there might be a gig. Have come to the conclusion only go if there is official word - if you have time to get up to London. I'm only a couple of hours away and maybe could have made tonight if I had heard earlier, but after spending days glued to Twitter and this forum I finally had to give in to real life and give this a rest for a few hours!

Chasing

I have just witnessed the greatest show on earth... prince and 3rdeyegirl just tore the roof off Shepherd's Bush Empire. Over 2 1/2 hours, I was standing ten rows back, awesome. Prince is happy, I cannot remember all songs from the set, but highlights:

Colonized Mind
Forever in My Life
Something in the Water (unbelievable)
Piano medly, incl Do Me Baby, Beautiful Ones, How Come
Hits online the backing track, amazing set incl SOTT, When Doves
Dreamer
Bambi
Endorphine Machine
And on and on....

I have seen P many times, incl aftershows, this was by far the very very best I have ever seen him, it starts very heavy, and Donna plays such amazing guitar, the vibe is Hendrix, meets Sly meets Prince... If you can see this show, SEE THIS SHOW?

worth queuing and yes, it really only cost £10!!!!!

This will go down as one of the best gigs ever played by anyone, ever.

Amaaaazing. Just got home in less than an hour. I was almost more impressed by the fact that I got 2 tubes and 2 buses which all came immediately.

But oh WOW at that gig and the setlist. Best £10 I've ever spent. I was about 5 rows back from the stage. Everyone around was lovely. Well organised, no pushing or shoving. My ears will be ringing in the morning as it was seriously LOUD at points.

I was number 829 and by the time I got in downstairs it was heaving. By time set started full downstairs and level one and levels 2/3 filled up shortly.

Under-sold stories aren't true. Can't have been many tickets left by doors.

Complainers are going to complain. It's their default position in life. It's Prince's turn to be the object of their resentful outlook in life.
