PrintableOut of interest, how did fans get tickets for the Welcome 2 America tours? How did they get to the aftershows etc without NPGMC access. Is it just first in, first served like the old days?

Michael Chugg is set to announce a tour by Prince. He still plays the greatest hits tour and it’s an amazing show by all accounts…there were a couple of promoters from Melbourne who were in the mix as well; they dropped out last week.

This makes me sad, as I wonder if they were trying to do something extra in Melbourne
But then, hopefully the delay in announcing is because they're still working on the 'extras'
In any case, I'm now signed up to the Chugg Entertainment newsletter just in case...

as of this morning on triple m, Nui still insists that it is a sure thing and it will b announced this week, 4 a may tour................ until i hear an official announcement, then i know it will happen. there r rumours every year about Aus tours that never eventuate, although this 1 has been very strong and public... I get hard if the wind blows your cologne near me | |

Hmm, even though it's nice to have some information on this front, I would rather Nui kept quiet on this one. History has shown Prince tour announcements where promoters, media, etc have jumped the gun, can sometimes 'spook' Prince, and he pulls out. Nui's remarks influenced the twitter post and Dr Funkenberry announcements trying to put the cat back into the bag.
