Average show, maybe not the setlist, but it didn't work that well.

People were uninterested, talking during the suspected highlights, discussing their MJ tickets (!), smoking indoor, etc.

I thought it was a great show with a great setlist. Compared to yesterday, today's show had a lot less rock songs, so only few guitar solo's. That was a pity. Also a bit disappointed about the fact that there were no NSJ special guests (Mavis Staples for example).

What? What concert have you`ve been?

It was a great concert with many highlights...some rarely played songs like girl in a jazzy version and something in the water (does not compute)...empty room was great, too....

and a new version of when i lay my hands on you, not the montreux one...

Laydown

Gingerbread man

She`s always in my hair

Setlist will surely follow soon...

all in all another great show....!!!

Couldn't be better. First time Empty Room live and as an extra bonus Girl as well. Too bad he didn't come back after we stood there for about 45 minutes. Nevertheless, great show.

just saw the setlist and damn any show without purple rain and a lot of the hits IS GREAT!!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Please read what I write.

The choices of songs were interesting.

The performance of these songs was good.

The crowd response around me was poor. People were doing other things during songs (talking, checking email, facebook, contemplating aloud that they liked his old stuff better, or that they too had MJ tickets; yes these idiots were more common around me than perhaps around your spot).

This combined (music plus response) makes the show.

So the result was average as they were not into it too much but also didn't 'boooh'.

So yes I liked the stuff but around me the pearls were as thrown before the swines.

He opened with Lay Down! I really loved the first set. He was great, giving his fans in the front a lot of love and respect. We had a blast, dancing, singing and enjoying his great performance. I had never heard him sing Gingerbread man, that was amazing!

Shelby did a great job, NPG was truly giving it to us. The first half of the concert Prince was giving us the songs he felt like performing and doing it with true dedication. Then it was time for the hits. Let's go crazy, cool, 1999, rspbrberet, housequake, etcetera. Because he first really played with love and doing it for the music, the hitparade was good and the audience really reacted to them. The whole venue was clapping and dancing, having a great time and partying!

Andy was doing great, played the piano, was dancing and singing and really pulling it off. Showing all her fortes. She is sooooo beautiful, fun and a really uplifting factor in the band.

Thank you Prince and NPG. It was great, thank you so much for these three concerts in a row, showing us music and love. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

This is the best set list I've seen on this tour for an arena show BY FAR... Hope Y'all enjoyed it...

Empty Room, Calhoun Square, Girl... R U kidding me... I'd piss myself if I heard those three songs come out of my stereo, let alone live.

raspberry beret
cream
cool / don't stop till u get enough

Who would have thought after : She is always in my hair (B-side), he would play another B-side from Around the world in a day area (B-side of Pop-life and America 12inches)

Oh man !!!! GIRL extended with jazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Checking back all North Sea Jazz setlists.

He only played 2 songs twice !!! (Controversy and Pass The Peas, if i'm correct?)

Copy paste the 3 setlists under eachother and I realise we've been spoiled by the best artist in the world. This was an amazing experience !!!!

So many exclusives, Girl and When we're dancing close and slow were extreme exclusives and offcourse Empty room; Colonized Mind, Bambi, Calhoun Square, and She is always in my Hair and Something in the water and...and.......and......and the list goes on and on and on and on....

THANK you Prince !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where were you standing? Close to the front, about 2-3 metres, left of center and were they talking behind you and are you tall? In that case I was the tall guy standing to your right.
