That's only approximately 220 minutes of the show. I'm not sure about what came after Cool. I assume Let's Work/U Got The Look. |

220 minutes for 19 songs?
So over 10 minutes per song on average.
So he indeed skipped over the second half of this list and worked out on the first half?
Please confirm.

this is amazing news. no where on earth can you find talent like this or anyone willing to share it for true music fans except where ever prince is
today is the 2nd anniversary of MJ's death. No wonder Prince paid tribute last night...or rather early this morning.

Hasn't he been playing the same MJ song for nearly a year now with the 20Ten festivals in Europe and the W2A Tour? So, what was the unique tribute? |

You are right Alex. But since today is the 2nd anniversary of MJ's death, some people might have felt it was a special tribute to MJ. |

As far as I know he only started doing this song this year at the W2A Tour but not yet at the 20Ten shows. "I'm not a human, I am a dove. I'm your conscious, I am love" |

He started playing that song in 2006 on his support gigs for Tamar. Maybe he already knew back then about Michaels death? CONSPIRACY!!!
Too many covers for my taste.....

I have revised the song descriptions based on tweets and other information. Still not sure what is the correct order or what songs were in the main show and what songs were part of encores. The review in the paper said Controversy was the last song of the main set, so it seems like some songs from main set are either missing or the list is out of order.
Someone earlier in this thread posted he also did A Love Bizarre, Laydown and A Case of You, but I do not know where they fall in the order. Also heard there were up to 7 encores.
Setlist
- American Woman (Instrumental)/Untitled Funk Groove w/Prince on guitar & vocals, John Blackwell: drum solo, Andy Allo: guitar solo, Ida Nielsen: bass solo, ? (Renato?): keyboard solo, Shelby J. rap, Maceo Parker:sax solo, Prince:guitar solo (also Liv Warfield on backing vocals)
- When I Lay My Hands On U
- Crimson And Clover/Wild Thing/Waiting In Vain
- Peach
- Controversy
First Encore:
- Pass The Peas (with Maceo Parker)
- Everyday People lyrics sung while band plays Thank You Falettinmebemiceelfagain/Thank You Falettingmebemiceelfagain/Play That Funky Music (with Maceo Parker) (per review this was part of the 4th encore?)
- Let's Go Crazy/Delirious
- 1999
- Little Red Corvette
- Musicology (Incl. Tighten Up Interpolation)/Prince And The Band
- Purple Rain (Guitar and Piano only)
- Raspberry Beret
- Cream (Incl. For Love Interpolation)
- Cool (Incl. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough Interpolation)

Agree! I love this look. I'm so jealous, a four-hour set. I'm thinking it's time to see Prince outside of the U.S. (but I can't this year ) |

They say home is where the heart is. Well, perhaps his heart is many places. I do hope that he will share a video of a concert such as this, or come back to Mpls again and perform!
I can not believe he would NEVER write another album, because that is just what he does. He may never share another album either because of copyright issues, etc, etc, etc. Still, if he could protect is artistry, maybe, just maybe, we will see and hear more of his work!
In regards to covering one's body up, I would like to say that maybe we should all do that. Men and Women both! Then maybe we will see what true colors we really are!

Nice to see Prince showcasing female musicians'/artists' talents. Andy was featured on the Africa Channel's "Red Kiva" show back in August 2010. That's the first time I had heard of her, and posted a thread on her in the Non-Prince forum last year. The Africa channel also re-aired that same show back in early May of this year, on their channel. Andy, has a smooth, cool, raw, fresh sound, sort of like Erykah Badu/Jill Scott/Corinne Bailey/Billy Miles, wrapped up in one, but she makes it her own.
Here's the thread from August 2010 on her:
