Going to be a tough ticket but the Montreal Jazz Festival is an amazing two weeks of music. I saw Prince's last show at the Montreal Jazzfest. Sure he will throw down on those two dates. I caught Maceo Parker at the Metropolis too at the Fest. Nice older theater. Expect a tightly packed crowd on the floor. I watched in the baclcony for Maceo and James Carter.

Better yet, the star has asked us to transform the venue into a massive dance floor for the occasion. Therefore, the parterre will be reserved for dancing, with only 300 reserved seats in the balcony. Tickets for these surprise concerts go on sale tomorrow at noon.

Just seen on Ticketmaster prices CA $155 - CA $172, early birthday and xmas present for me and the wife I think!

Remember that time when we bought life time memberships to Prince's fan club and could buy exclusive tickets to shows like this? Montreal is 1.5 hours away from me and I probably won't be able to secure a ticket.

How much I wish he would also stop by the Toronto Jazz Fest... Does anyone know if he's ever done that?

Ticketmaster/admission.com was driving me nutz. I had tickets and then there'd be an error on the page. I finally remoted into my home computer and was able to get 2 for saturday. I'm very excited.

As far as I know...max capacity is 2300 at metropolis.

I will be there 24 & 25 !!!!! So excited...........

Hope Sheila will be there too..........

I've been lucky & I had made an account on Tiketmaster.com + a SUPER aunt & uncle & aunt bought me a ticket 4 the 25, so that meen that I will be going on the 24 and the 25

I forgot

Got 2 General Admission tickets for the 25th! Would have liked a balcony, reserved seating but had no luck getting those! I'll be coming in from NB (Canada).

I'm a little disappointed of the mention that it will most likely be all hits (no obscure playlist as they put it)… I was hoping for something a little different.

I'm sure you're right! And someone just said it'll be mostly all his hits, and that makes me even more happy, if it's even possible, cause that's what I was hoping for, I want an energic smiling funky Prince doing his hits and making the crowd go crazy.

I also agree with someone else who answered me that having my first 2 gigs in a 2300 arena will be something special..

My heart is aching big time....it is My HOME TOWN..but..I don't live there anymore..

The show in 2001 was total Free Jazz and something to remember.....
