Ok...this is the main entrance we drove to (ignore the "Visitors Car Park" bit, it was very small and already filled with security vans). Directly over my right shoulder and back a bit is where the main stage is, the camping and car parking were off to the left. Second photo is looking the other way from where I'm standing and is the entrance off the roundabout...

The main entrance was on this roundabout...you can see the site has lots of cars on it at the mo...it wasnt set up anything like this when we visited this evening, so please ignore the layout, cars and stuff on the fields....not sure what was happening at the Hop Farm when Google took this photo!

If you zoom out on the map a bit you'll see a road on the right called Beltring Road, and along from that Beltring train station. Its a tiny station and I'm not sure whether folks will be able to get a train that stops here, but its alot closer than Paddock Wood station. Short walk to the Hop Farm (though it is a country lane, and you'll have to cross the A228...not sure how safe it would be!). We were gonna be cheeky and park at this station to avoid the queues, but its so small the station doesnt have any parking! Had a look around the area and there doesnt seem to be anywhere else to park nearby other than the driveway of some farmers mansion, and I wouldnt take my chances there...looks like its on site parking then!

Paddock Wood station is a fair walk from the site so I'd be inclined to utilise the shuttle buses they are supposed to be putting on...unless you fancy the trek of course.

Oh, and one of the guys on site confirmed that the live / outdoor music stops at 11.30pm but the site rocks on until 2.00am, with an under cover acoustic stage, a pop/rock/indie disco which sounds very cool, and a comedy tent. Think we'll be making the most of this and hoping for some Prince tunes in the disco tent afterwards!

Yeah, its gonna be awesome! Cant wait to party up with a field full of Prince fans.

My younger sister is coming and its gonna be her first Prince show...so excited for her (she's gonna be knackered though, she's got Take That tonight, Wireless festival Friday, Foo Fighters with me on Saturday, then Prince Sunday...phew!!)

Hi THERE PEOPLE KENT......HELP

Hello people from Kent and the general area i need your help...ill be arriving on the saturday with camping tickets and sat and sun tickets. Im looking for help in finding a pub nearby or even quite a bit away that will be showing the Heavyweight title fight between David Haye and Wladamir Klitschko!!!

This is a MASSIVE sporting event shown on Sky Box Office...i need 2 see the fight and get back 2 the camping 4 the funk the next day..anyone who can help with places i could ring and ask if they are showing would be much appreciated...thanks in advance...

Sure the set list could be better, and Hammersmith would be better than Hop, but I still love any Prince concert!

I think I'll be taking my festival flag pole. So look out for someone with a five metre high pole (possibly with glow in the dark hoops if they haven't fallen off) with a mauve / purple plain flag at the top!!

Well I am now going! I have a full Sunday ticket Thanks to a very generous member on MoQuake (thanks again!).

I think I might head towards SquirrelMeat's Purple flag at some point and put some faces to usernames if that's OK? I don't have anything remotely Princey or purple to wear apart from my lotusflower t-shirt, but I won't be wearing that. I think I'll go for a white WHAM! "Choose Life" t-shirt and grey combat shorts, maybe a blue trilby and shades. If anyone spots me please say hi as I will be a billy-no-mates yet again.

I think I'll aim to arrive early to mid-afternoon to avoid the main 10am to 1pm peak. Give me plenty of time to park and mosey around a bit before picking a spot.

Should be an experience if nothing else

Anyone know of any camping passes available? Bought my tickets for the Sat and Sun as soon as they came out, all excitedly, saw the £33 price for pitching a tent and thought I'd find a better way - and now they've sold out and I've buggered it right up!

To the people that are down there already, what is it like? Is there lots of different tents there or just a few? And is there a lot of people there?
