Prince is hardly elderly and is in excellent shape right now, that's really a stupid thing to say. Judging by your attitude here, I'm sure even at 52, he's sexier than you could ever hope to be.

And that's why your day job does NOT consist of being a judge somewhere because you'd be flat broke. You suck at it. Since you don't know me, don't judge me, because you'd certainly be wrong.

Again, why do you fams act like somebody slapped your momma or insulted YOU when someone says something "negative" about Prince or his work? If you're going to be insulted by what someone says about a person who you don't even know (and no matter what you think or how much you lick the screen everytime he's on TV, you do NOT know Prince one iota), then you need to grow the hell up! And if I didn't talk about YOU, then you also need to shut the hell up! You kids these days....

Thankfully, I don't know you personally and I'm judging you by your whiney-ass posts. If you don't like what he's doing, don't go, it's that simple.

btw, I'm not insulted by what you say about Prince, just telling you how ridiculous your posts sound. Learn something new to say besides "grow up", considering I'm older than Prince, I think I have that taken care of.

It has nothing at all to do with being "fammy". Your post was simply ignorant. First, 52 is not elderly. Second, what someone else thinks is freaky may not be what you think is freaky. Then, you are telling someone to "grow the hell up" and "shut the hell up"...but yet you call other people "kids". You're right. You do articulate yourself as a very mature person. smile Everyone else here besides you, are just immature kids. wink

Oh, and Prince was sexy crawling around and sliding across the piano. smile I thought so.

What's funny is the teenage response telling someone else to grow up and having the nerve to call others 'fams' while using a Prince name for their ID. lol

This was my 3rd concert on this series and I must say I loved last night's concert. He was def in rare form and was def flirty, sexy, and simply amazing. This was the Prince that I was ALWAYS hoped to see and I finally saw it.

I never got to see him at his prime (during Purple Rain) because I was too young but last night's concert satisfied the need/want. I'm speechless.

Hi, just wanted to share with you that you ARE seeing Prince in his prime. The only thing that's changed as he's gotten older is that he doesn't leap off of the piano or do the splits any longer...there aren't as many props...which is for the better because now he's just focusing on the music itself without distraction. He's still playing a very long set, he hasn't lost his voice at all, his musicianship is beyond flawless...in other words, he hasn't lost anything at all but may actually be a better performer and musician than in the old days. I've seen him over the years and trust...he is still in his prime now.

Once again, GDB - I agree with you completely! For me, Prince is a better performer now than he was in the old days!

Blurry pics of Whitney Houston trying to dance with somebody at the Prince concert on Friday, 4/29. She tries to climb on stage to join the Purple One, and when security turns her back, she takes the stair railing as her dance partner. It was quite a scene.

It's a cover of a Bob Dylan song, and it's sung by the back up singers. It's a very nice ballad.

Love it, Prince at the age of 85 being wheeled out in lace and high heels, slowly unbuttoning his shirt to show off his caved in chest. Going around in circles on stage in his wheel chair, maybe a cut out of the seat so that his ass cheeks come through. The sad thing is, people would still expect him to dance, all like, damn...P can't get down like he used to lol.

Yes I saw him twice last year in Europe - summer and fall tour. Last time I had seen him before that was ten times between the years 1987-1993. So I cannot talk about the 17 years in between, but when I say that I think he is "better now than in the old days", I am referring to the early time when I saw numerous concerts. It is personal taste, but I prefer his dancing, his musicality, and his overall on-stage-personality more now, compared to back then. Just my personal opinion.

I think if you see the older shows it's more like every little thing is rehearsed.. if you know what I mean, every little detail. Now it's more ''what's gonna happen?'' .. I mean ok. You know that he almost always does Kiss and PR in the setlist.. but other songs is always a surprise, what is he gonna play, what is he going to do? it's more spontaneous , I never been to these shows or something.. but I have seen a lot of older footage of many shows.. And especially from the peroid 1985-1990 it's all bit rehearsed, every single thing. Of course the shows are incredible and amazing, would love to see these shows. But I think it's more spontanenous now..

I have seen him also twice in Europe last year...In Belgium and Holland. never been before so.. that's just my thoughs about it..

Yes, Prince was definitely flirtier at this concert than at previous shows. He practically made love to a girl on stage with his guitar, slithered across the stage during what felt like a 20-minute "Gingerbread Man," and spun around bare-chested. But I'm surprised nobody mentioned the BEST PART of the show. During his final encore (the sampler set), a VERY MESSED UP Whitney Houston could be seen begging security to climb on stage. If you could see the VIP section on the floor near Loge 26 and 27, you may have noticed a woman in a white suit with big hair dancing, singing, hanging on to the stage railings and grinding on the security guys. Yes, that was Ms. Whitney. Her handlers had to drag her away after the show as the remainder of the crowd screamed "Whitney, we love you!" What... a... mess.

Whitney was a mess, she attended another show i saw a clip from TMZ, she was dancing with her daughter and hugging her.Damn I thought she was trying to get it together!

Well the 17 years in between probably eliminate the possibility of actually comparing tastes. I enjoyed his dancing..a lot...this past Saturday, so even if I include the 17 years you missed, I could agree with you per that aspect. I think his on stage personality is better, if you compare it to other big arena shows, but I wouldn't say so, when compared to intimate settings. He acts much different in small venues. I guess his personality and dancing don't represent the highlights of his all-time great shows in my opinion, including April 14, 2011.

His celebration performances in Minneapolis did not appear to be overly rehearsed and those were the ONLY times he did completely different setlists every night. I'm not sure how many prince org members attended the celebration performances, but there were not like what he did in 85-90.

I have, and I am enjoying these Forum shows more than any of the past concerts I've seen for a few reasons. I believe that Prince is still playing guitar at a peak level. I play guitar and can hear things that perhaps a non-musician might not notice. I listen more to his rhythm guitar playing than his soloing and impressive doesn't begin to describe his level; he's a master of r&b/funk rhythm guitar. Another reason why I'm enjoying these shows so much is because of the impressive sound system. I've mentioned it before but it bears repeating...in the past, my enjoyment of performances has been affected by poor acoustics or a poor mix. If P has had similar great sound systems in the past during performances I missed fair enough...but in my experiences with the Universal (now Gibson) Ampitheater, the LA Sports Arena, the (then Great Western) Forum, the Kodak Theater and the Nokia Theater nothing compared with this presentation and again, the sound designers and engineers/techs should be commended. Best I ever heard? When P played a one-off set at the late, lamented Tower Records on Sunset Blvd maybe four years ago...small space with his Mesa/Boogie Heartbreakers just ripping through the room.

But regarding strictly his performance...I described him as still being in his prime because I see no drop-off in terms of his singing, playing, performing, energy...creatively? We can argue that point. But his voice is still intact, he's moving far better than the majority of 50+ year old men...where is the drop-off? For me, the emphasis on playing and not on putting on a "show" is more to my preference. It's very hard to compare; past a certain point we're talking about prefernces, not facts. I prefer what I'm seeing and hearing now to what I've experienced with him in the past. That's not to criticize or denigrate any past performances. He seems really relaxed now...at peace, even...giving the band space to play and the girls a showcase to present their voices...that's a man who is secure with himself, being generous both with his band and his audience.
