What seats did you get for Oakland?

Where are your seats? How much were they? Are you happy with what you got?

Please chime in with your results....

I'm up front in section 122, which is great. I kept going back and forth between that and 106, but I have been in the 106 side sections before and they're not so hot. But again, I'm pretty happy with what I got!

I have not seen Prince in 14 years, LOL. I am really really excited.

Locked in tickets for the sections I wanted with a side view in the middle of the symbol--Section 101 on Monday and Section 114 on Wednesday! I had lower level side-view seats at one Izod concert and floor seats for another, and the lower level middle sections have the better view! biggrin

mine are in section 216 which are way up there but their dead center of the symbol stage. I paid 71.50 apiece + ticket bastard charges. I wasn't going for premium seats for a greatest hits revue but i'm glad to be in the building..

I am still holding out hope for Monday. I didn't buy any tickets, yet, but I'm hoping sales are slim. I doubt they will be, though, as he hasn't been here in a minute.

I think you're smart to wait.

The waiting times on Ticketmaster are still horrendous and it's 12:40, but it doesn't seem like it's filling up that fast. The VIP seats don't seem to be selling that well. Come Sunday they will reduce the price on those if there are any left. I had a feeling these shows wouldn't sell out that fast. Too short notice.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing for the Wednesday show. I didn't buy tickets yet. I'm going to wait and see if I can get a better deal.

I'm in 208 row 5 for the second day, going with new Prince fans who didn't want to pay too much. I'm also holding out for Monday, will see what happens.

LMAO @ "ticket bastard charges"

Does anyone know how many people this place holds? I have never been to a show there and was just wondering what to expect.

It's quite a large venue. If you plan on taking BART (which I recommend) then you better bring a blazer cuz the walk from the station to the venue is one blustery motherfucking trek through industrial antarctica.

Oracle Arena holds 19,596 for basketball. This does not include floor seats, obviously. The Prince concerts are set up to hold around 20,000 give or take.

Short notice + large venue = no wonder the shows are not sold out.

Thanks for the advice. Im coming from Chico a small town north of the bay and was just starting to look at hotels near by. I noticed parking at the show is 35 bucks so I would be happy if I could get a hotel nearby and just walk or catch a cab. Doors open at 6:30, right?

yeah, 20K people is a lot of seats. I can't believe I saw people on craigslist claiming the show was sold out and trying to sell them for 2X as much. People are so sneaky!

Yay, Chico love! I better get a room before they all sell out. A 1 mile cab ride sounds good to me.
