Section 123

Row 28

Monday

I'm not too happy with paying that much to be at the back of the symbol stage, but at least I'll be there.

if it's that large of a venue why's the floor look so small??

It ain't that small! lol The last time I was there I saw the Rolling Stones from upper level nosebleed seats and it was like looking at an anthill if you didn't look at the Jumbotron screen! razz lol

I think your thinking of the coliseum not the arena.

So on my reciept it says, "Courtside with Club Access/Price Level 2/VIP Floor Seating." Does anybody know what this means? The "VIP Floor Seating" part confuses me. Maybe it's just a misprint on the reciept. I paid $123 per ticket. Whatever! I'm so excited!

Actually you are right! lol That Stones concert was at the Coliseum. But I just checked with the Oracle Arena and it seats 16,000 for the Prince W2A concert, not 20,000. Thanks for the correction! wink

What section are you sitting in? "Courtside" usually applies to basketball games. Maybe they made an error in your favor. If so, you are one lucky devil! lol

I might be mistaken, but it looks like the $60 tickets may have sold out. I was looking for a friend of mine and after I type in the capsha it says "sorry, nothing matches your request" or something to that effect. I wonder if that'spossible tickets havent even been on sale for 5 hours. I guess I'll keep trying and hopefully my friend isn't burnt. So, happy I have my tickets now cool

I got that 20k number from...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oracle_Arena

Scroll down to where it talks about the renovation.

If they sold 16k tickets that means they must not be using all of the seats. Hmm, I wonder which seats they dropped.

The cheap seats are sold out for Monday, at least for now. VIP down to $146.80 is still available.

Hi Oskar,

Having a $123 floor ticket is good and bad. The good is that you are on the floor. The bad is that your seats probably have a limited/obstructed view. Are you in section C or D by any chance? There's lighting equiptment at the tip of the arrow and other crap that will make what is already a 6' high wall even higher.

I hope you weren't planning on sitting the entire time. If so, you won't be able to see much. I suggest finding some open space on the floor where you can see better. Reports from people I know who saw shows at MSG said there was space.

Thanks for the tips! I don't plan on sitting much at all! If there were a General Admission standing area, that's what I would have gone for!

Same here. Reserved seating for shows like this is kind of a bummer. There is room on the floor. I heard there were places on the floor at IZOD and MSG where they were letting people hang out. I doubt they will sell a lot of tables anyway, so there's bound to be open space here and there.

I decided to be a big spender and attend both shows. For the monday show, I'll be in Section 124, row 14, seat 22. On wednsday I'll be in section 118, row 13, seat 4. I'm sure most know he will have his symbol shaped stage , so where you'll end up is where'll you be sightlines be damned. Let's get funky ya'll. lol

Huh! I was on the floor at the Izod. There was a whole vacant row in front of me and I climbed over the seats to move to the aisle seat for a better view. But every time the crowd tried to move into the aisle, security herded us back...until the three encores. Then people were allowed to move up right in front of the stage... Which was pure heaven during Adore and Scandalous with the lights on! cool

Exclusive! PRINCE Reaches Out To Former Revolution Member After Heart Attack

Bobby Z. & Wendy Melvoin. Exclusive Photo For DrFunkenberry.com Courtesy NPG Records 2011

Former PRINCE & The Revolution member Bobby Z. had a heart attack earlier this month. He has since been released and is back home. His former boss has a special treat in mind for him and fans.

PRINCE will be funking up the Oracle Arena next week in Oakland and PRINCE and company are rushing to get a new “Cali4nia” tour book ready for opening night! Tickets are selling fast, so you better hurry.

The shot above taken from the Parade era featuring PRINCE, Bobby Z., & Wendy Melvoin will be in the new version of the tour book. Also, other shots taken at PRINCE’s recording studio Paisley Park and his run of sold out shows at Madison Square Garden will be featured as well.

PRINCE & The New Power Generation wants Bobby Z. to come out soon to join the tour and play “Purple Rain” with him.

Prince had this to say exclusively to DrFunkenberry.com;

“Nobody plays drums on the song “Purple Rain” like Bobby. Never flashy or loud, he plays like a slow burn love song. Bobby’s way of playing made each live rendition of the song better than the last.”

Hopefully, Bobby will be able to play “Purple Rain” soon.

What do you guys think of the photo and PRINCE’s comments about Bobby Z?-Dr.FB

1) That picture is fucking hot!

2) That is awesome. I really wish. That'd be too cool. Does Bobby live out here? It seems a little too soon for something like that, but I would love to see it.

I will make a phone call tomorrow morning. If theres any truth to this, I'll be on a plane to Oakland. That picture is rawking my world so hard right now. I'm sure everyone here is well aware that Wendy & Lisa live in LA... Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
