2/7 Aftershow/Afterparty?

This is the obligatory post where I ask about what is going on after the show. Someone had to do it....

Being that this is the last new york show I would hope there would be something. It is also a monday- which does not scream aftershow day, but then again, when has Prince ever cared what day it was? Maybe a monday would make it easier to get into wherever we would need to get into even!

How did people find out about recent after the show events anyhow? If something goes on and I miss it only because I didn't know where to get the info- well, that would blow.

So anyone know anything or think they know something?

BTW, I am kind of feeling a vibe that the show tonight is going to be rediculously off the hook. Can't explain why, but I sense it.

The previous 5 afterparties have been private...

I already KNOW tonight's show's gonna be off the chain!

As for an aftershow, I'm not holding my breath, but I'll stick around the city with orgers afterwards, cause you just never know.

The last few have been private afterPARTIES only. The VU wasn't so much private, but if you didn't get in before Prince showed up you were pretty much SOL.

I would not hold my breath for an aftershow. The afterparties have been just that, parties and they have been for celebrities and band members special guests so, be prepared to go home or whereever you will go to after the show.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Definitely. I got lucky back in December, but unless Sinbad shows up again, recognizes me from when I BEGGED him to let me in last time I'm not getting my hopes up, unless something official is announced.

I'm still LOL at the folks who went to Brooklyn Bowl thinking P was gonna show up there. It SEEMED so perfect with Quest and Maceo and whatnot but cleary P had other plans.

According to Dr. Funkenberry, the aftershow at Darby is open to the public - $200 at the door.

I just got back from outside Darby's. I was tempted, but didn't want to shell over another $200 after seeing all six NYC shows. I did see the band arrive and then Prince. As soon as Prince entered, Karadashian left. She must have just been there for a photo op. What a superficial person. The paparazzi were all over here when she left too, but they were all told by the security guards no pictures or video of Prince.

I hope I didn't make a big mistake for not going, but I just didn't have the extra money and I have a long day tomorrow. I was thinking he will probably play a setlist similar to what he did at the aftershows for the IZOD center. Nothing too interesting except Joy in Repetition and may Shhh! since he didn't play it tonight with a bunch of covers I was guessing. We will see. Nice to see that all the fans who were there did get in though-I would say there were no more than 50-75 in line so should be a nice up close and personal show for them.

Innnnteresting. I think overall that wasn't worth 200, BUT since the setting was so intimate and folks were up so close, that might have negated any negative feelings over the meh setlist AND the fact that P was on stage but playing, and not singing. Altho P on bass is like WHOOOOO!!!! cool

It woulda been HOT to hear Endorphinmachine live tho. I was just listening to that song yesterday in prep for last nights show.

I saw tweets about Head. I was like ain't NO way he's somewhere in NYC singing the LYRICS to that song. Then I saw it was Instrumental, which makes a HELL of a lot more sense.

Okay, I'm off the fence now. If I could've gone to either show last night, it would've been the after show.

I mean cool setlist & all but only an hour for $200? I feel like I was spoiled after paying $50 to $100 for 2 hour aftershows in the past. I guess the intimate setting could make up for it but c'mon prince... He's such a money grabber.

So did he sing Endorphinmachine or not? Full version or just a snippet? For me, if he did sing it in full that alone would have been worth the 200 donut entry.
