NJ got screwed by getting week nights.

Even on a Friday night, people have to rush home for work. The shows are supposed to start at 7:30. Those who work a 9-5 would have to rush home, change, grab something to eat, and try to get there....

ex: A friend of mine works all the way down in Princeton. He's taking a 1/2 day to be able to get to my house... and then it will take another 45 minutes to get to the show.

I'm lucky because I get out at 2:30, otherwise I'd be doing the same.

it's all a matter of when a venue is available as well tho. this time of year the izod center is used for basketball games etc even the msg shows are kind of jacked up because of the seperation of dates

12/18 and 12/29 - both MSG shows were sold out when it went on sale in October.

(However you may find some seats available for 12/18 which are the sections in back of the symbol at MSG)

I don't think either of the Jersey shows are sold out yet for 12/15 and 12/17..

Presale tix are on sale today at Ticketmaster, for the 1/18/11 show at MSG until 10pm tonight, for the customers of MSG insider and LiveNation email list, as long as you have the password. After that, Tickets go on sale to the general public, tomorrow at 12 noon.

Here's a virtual seating chart (not with the symbol, but pretty much close) if you want to check how far you'll be from the stage.

TM Customer service said the VIP Purple Packages are not part of the pre-sale. They will be available with general sale tomm. Same deal as the first time around. No special consideration was being provided to the Reps knowledge for VIP holders who got the Royal U know what from the 12/14 show. Makes no sense why 12/14 VIP did not get first shot at seats like eveyone else. There is no financial gain for TM or Live Nation by not sending a presale code for those of us who shelled out 1500 for two seats and then got cancelled on.

I purchased tickets to the 14th (and the 15th and other shows) at Izod. Since I already had tickets to the 15th, I want a refund of course. The Ticketmaster email (as previously described in this thread) says that if I don't do anything, I'll automatically get a refund in a few days.

Today, I got an email with the $10 t-shirt voucher (which I'm supposed to get if I do the exchange, not the refund). I call Ticketmaster to make sure I'm getting a refund, and am told, "yes you are getting a refund, it should post soon."

Then, the exchange tickets for the 15th arrive via UPS! So I call Ticketmaster again, and this person says, yes it looks like they've assigned you new tickets for the 15th and no refund is being processed! This Ticketmaster person actually seems nice and helpful and says a refund is now being processed. We'll see if this is true!!

What a mess. And let's watch those credit card statements for refunds!

The more I visit this thread the more I'm reminded that P is the ONLY artist that without fail buying tix to his shows is like a life and death obstacle course, like the Running Man or some shit. Really, should it be this hard to go to a concert???

Exact same thing happened to me!! I purchased tickets for the Jan 18th show, expecting a refund for the Dec 14 ones. I received tickets for Dec 15th by UPS today. I have emailed TM about my refund. If I don't hear back from them by tomorrow, I will be calling!! I am already out $550 that I can not recover from redoing all my travel arrangements. I hope the concert is worth all this headache!!

i haven't yet seen the credit card refund yet, but for what it's worth, the change is indeed reflected in my ticketmaster account order history (until i called for the refund the 2nd time it showed i was assigned tickets for the 15th the show in my 14th show order number) for the 14th show where now there are no seats and the charge is listed as $0.00. hopefully this charge of $0.00 for the 14th show equals a refund to my credit card soon, as they certainly charged me when i bought the tix in October!

they told me you have until 8pm this past tuesday to have accepted the 15th tix or they will refund you 7-10 days from that day..so i wouldn't expect seeing it on my credit card online statement for at least another week

Does anyone know how the Jan 18 tickets are almost sold out, 3 days ago only 200 people recommended it now 333 recommend it. I looked at Usher, Bon Jovi and Rush and their numbers are no where near that

Checked my credit card today....refund has gone thru!! Whew!! So glad because my balance was getting up there.....no one but Prince can make me max out my credit card!

My tix are for the 17th. I live in DC and am driving to NJ Friday morning. I almost got myself fired from work for taking the day off. My management even had meetings around it, and said I couldnt go but screw it IM GOING ANYWAY! If they had canceled the 17th, I surely would be crying. I feel badly for those who had tix for that night...that sucks big time.

I saw Maceo in Rotterdam and he was awesome. I've been trying to get to a Prince concert for mannnnny years now. This will be my first.

I'm a pro photographer so it's killin me not to be able to take my long lens in there and grab a few shots, but I'm happy they announced non pro small cameras are allowed. Now I just gotta find me one of those! Lol.

I'm a little nervous though as Prince "suggested" the possibility of canceling the remaining Izod nights if the sound problem isnt fixed...Does anyone have an update on this?
