Has this happened to anyone?

I emailed ticketmaster and asked one simple question Are there refunds for the Dec 15th show?

They email me 2 days later (today) saying your concert tickets were canceled and you have been given a refund. I was shocked all I asked was a question and I was given a refund, I didn't even know they give refunds my email. I might just have to go to the Jan 18th

You should have inquired if you were entitled to the presale password for tomorrow's presale, at 10am for those who purchased tix for the 12/14 show, to have first dibs for the 1/18/11 show.

I am concerned that there are still way too many good seats available for both Wednesday and Friday. I was able to exchange my Friday tickets yesterday for two in section 123 row 2, probably some of the best seats in the place and the rest of that row is available this morning if you choose eight tickets. Still lots of floor seats on the front side of the stage too. What is going on with NJ, especially the Friday night show. It seems these shows just are not selling and there is only a week to go. Looks like they made a huge mistake with NJ. It will be interesting to see how the MSG show sells between today and Friday when they go on sale to everyone, hopefully it will sell out like the others. EVEN PRINCE NEEDS TO REALIZE HE NEEDS PROMOTION TO SELL OUT MULTIPLE SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why it's such a big deal that the shows are sold out or not.... as long as it's not completely empty...

NJ got screwed by getting week nights.

Even on a Friday night, people have to rush home for work. The shows are supposed to start at 7:30. Those who work a 9-5 would have to rush home, change, grab something to eat, and try to get there....

ex: A friend of mine works all the way down in Princeton. He's taking a 1/2 day to be able to get to my house... and then it will take another 45 minutes to get to the show.

I'm lucky because I get out at 2:30, otherwise I'd be doing the same.

I agree that it's not a big deal if they completely sell out, but the fact that great floor or just off the floor seats are being released by someone or some corporation and not being picked up right away is a big deal. These great seats have been released since Monday when I initiated my exchange. Every show can't be a Saturday or Sunday night. The other MSG show on the 29th is in the middle of the week and still sold out right away. The fact that you can choose 8 tickets on Ticketmaster with just over a week to go and get 8 of the best seats in the house is simply not a good sign, even if they were released later. I guess my fear is they cancel another show.

Something is truly going on .. A co worker of mine won her tickets off a NY radio station. They gave her the option of choosing what show she wanted to go to. When she went to pick up her tickets they could not give her the seats to a NY show since they are all sold out. To compensate they gave her 2 extra tickets for a Jersey show on 12/17 - when has anyone ever heard of a radio station giving away more than what someone won????? ( And yes I saw the 4 tickets with my own 2 eyes so she is not lying)

Yeah, it must be for only the ppl who didn't opt for the refund. Tried to use the password but didn't work. I exchange my tix. I wanted to try to see if it worked tho shrug
I also upgraded my tix this morning. I got better seats than the orginal tix.

Hopefully they realize that cancelling those two with a week left would be a really bad idea!

Just did a second exchange for Friday night show. Moved from section 11 row H to section 11 row D. My row H seats should be available if anyone is looking. Also a row A on the backside as a single. Grab them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone notice they removed all the Purple VIP package choices from the IZOD shows? I guess the $750 seats were sold and they did away with the $500 seats, selling them all at the regular price.

Question

I'm really upset the show was canceled for the 14th. Would've hoped the people for the canceled show would've been accommodated a lot better then getting seats way higher then where I was originally seated. It's been 6 years of no Prince in NJ, when he finally comes this happens. Whew this will be a first. Mainly due to medical conditions I've sustained now where we were was perfect now that I'm using a walker to walk around with. I can't do NY.

You still may be able to simply exchange your ticket for the 15th again if you don't like the seat you were assigned or to the 17th... It is worth a try! wink

If people have already purchased lower seats, they are no longer available. So when the first show was cancelled, they are trying to fill in what is left. They can't bump someone else...

But did you call Ticketmaster? All venues are required to have seating for guests with special circumstances.

Call IZOD first to see what's available, then be persistent with Ticketmaster. It's worth a try.

I went to the "Help" section on the ticketmaster page, regarding "Accessible Seating" to find out info on this situation: You have to call them to request accessible seating at 201-935-3900. Some venues prefer you call for accessible seating, and the IZOD Center is one of them according to the information on the (Sent you an orgnote.)

TICKETMASTER INSTRUCTIONS FOR REQUESTING Accessible Seating at events:

When you start to purchase tickets, if you look to your right, just above where it says "Full Price Ticket" you will see the "Request Accessible Tickets" box in the corner, and when you click on it, will direct you from there. Some venues request that you speak to one of their representatives. Apparently, that is the policy for the IZOD Center. See following instructions:

IZOD CENTER POLICY FOR ACCESSIBLE SEATING

To better accommodate your needs, IZOD Center has requested that all accessible seating ticket accommodations be solicited only through their representatives. Please contact an IZOD Center representative for further help with your ticket purchase.* Advance ticket purchase may be required.

* Box office information is subject to change.

Telephone Number(s):

For inquiries or requests regarding accessible seating please call the box office at 201-935-3900.

Service Hours:

Monday - Saturday: 11am-6pm Sunday: Closed (unless there is an event)

Not bad, nice angle and facing the front side of the state. You can go to the MSG website and actually choose that section and see the view. Be sure to pick basketball as the layout so you will see the view toward the center.

Let us know what happens, seems they got rid of them for the IZOD shows and at least sold the $500 VIP seats at the regular price, however, the MSG ones seemed to sell out. They will probably offer them and see what happens.
