Ich habe es mir nicht nehmen lassen, diesen arroganten Trottel Karl Fluch vom Standard anzurufen und ihm zu sagen, dass er kräftig verzogen hat in seiner Annahme, die lange Purple Rain Intro wäre dem Publikum auf die Nerven gegangen (er meinte sogar als Verteidigung, er hätte andere Leute gefragt ob sie das auch fad fanden - dass ich nicht lache). Kennt halt die Live-Konzerte von Prince nicht, der arme Tropf, Purple Rain geht ohne so ein Intro garnicht. Er meinte sein Job als Kritiker sei es halt zu kritisieren. Daraufhin habe ich ihn zur journalistischen Meisterleistung der Schlagzeile "Strudelteig und die Freuden des Unterleibs" gratuliert. Viel dümmer geht es ja wirklich nicht mehr.

Hab selten mit so einem Vollkoffer gesprochen, gibt allerdings noch schlechtere Journalisten (Zeidler von oe.24 steht ganz oben auif der Liste). Sie recherchieren halt alle nicht mehr, dazu sind´s zu faul, die Herren, sondern kritzeln nur irgendeinen Schmus hin, und das besonders im Standard mit seiner pseudointellektuellen Bobo-Ausrichtung, da ist die Presse inzwischen viel besser.

Also wir im Golden Circle haben es gesungen. listening to the recording just reconfirms that this was/ is an absolue stunner! although a bit too much tickets to the gold circle were sold and it was say too hot this couldn't distract from the ABSOLUTELY GREAT performance.

Funny moment also when Prince tried to make all the austrians throw their cellphones in the air, PSYCHE!

I think that he was more annoyed/ surprised by the sheer amount of cells being used to take pictures (a LOT more then I'm used to, somehow you austrians seem to have really great cells ) and he decided to joke on it. The ''PSYCHE!" yo can clearly hear onm the recording seems to indicate so...

thanks to the austrians for their enthusiasm also which made this a truly sepctacular show

of my 22 prince-concerts it ranks at top 3 - it was so sensationell - and the austrian crowd was just great!!!

Back in 1987 Dominic Heinzl worked for the Austrian radio station Ö3 and his show was called 'Treffpunkt Ö3'. Coverage of the two Prince concerts in Vienna was really good. He interviewed lots of Austrian celebs and musicians. All of them were blown away by the SOTT show (so was I ). He even broadcasted the first minutes of one of the shows (audience recording)! That was really cool. I never managed to get my hands on this recording although I still should have the radio coverage on tape somewhere.

Die absurde Wiener Video-Zensur ist ein weiterer Schritt im Kampf um totale Selbstkontrolle. 1993 zog Prince mit dem auf die Wange geschmierten Wort "Sklave“ gegen seine Plattenfirma vor Gericht. Auch die Download-Seiten Pirate Bay und Napster wurden mit Millionenklagen bedroht. 2002 ließ er gar etliche Fanseiten im Internet sperren. Seine Begründung: "Nur ich darf die Fotos von mir verwenden!“

Leider. Mein auf facebook von - youtube übernommenes- gepostetes video ist auch schon weg. Aber auch die Videos von anderen Konzerten (z.B. in Berlin und Roskilde) funktionieren anscheinend nicht mehr. Kann ma nichts machen.

Ihr habt jetzt zum zweiten Mal ein komplettes Album für einen Minipreis (Planet Earth zudem noch beim 21 nights gig geschenkt) bekommen, sofern ihr euch den Rolling Stone geholt habt (bei mir dudelt die Scheibe gerade - erst - zum zweiten Mal...nach dem ersten Mal brauchte ich ne Pause...).

Andere Künstler verlangen für ihre Alben nach wie vor richtig Kohle.

Jeder hat seinen Spleen....da finde ich diesen hier noch recht harmlos...Oder wird jemand in seinen persönlichen Rechten beschnitten, wenn der Darsteller in diversen privat aufgenommenen Videos sagt "Eh, halt...ich will nicht, dass diese Dinge veröffentlicht werden."

Also.

(Und ganz nebenbei....die Syntis bei "Lavaux" erinnern mich doch stark an RIP Jacko.......)

Früher gab´s kein Internet: da bist du auf´s Konzert gegangen und das war´s dann. Hast dich danach mit deinen Freunden über die QUalität, Lautstärke (Megadeth ), Länge des Konzertes und die Stimmung im Auditorium unterhalten.

Ich bin jetzt bei der 3. Rotation von "20ten".

Japp....und hast Dich maximal auf Trödelmärkten Samstags/Sonntags herumgetrieben, um irgendwelche schwarzen Scheiben (im durchaus zweideutigen Sinne) zu ergattern....um noch mehr Musik vom Meister zu bekommen....

Still plenty of Vienna clips online. And let's be honest: today it takes some hours until a concert finds it's way to the net...and fans know how to find it. It's definitely a cat-and-mouse-game where the mouse is the winner today.

Doubtless....of course.

But in my opinion it isn´t the right way to derivate any king of entitlement as some people do.

It is the right of every human being to prevent any publications if they aren´t authorized.

(Even if this might be a race between rabbit and hedgehog.... )
