As of Wednesday , check the website again for Gold tickets.

On Friday I received an e-mail that if payment wasn't received within 4 working days, the tickets would be released again, so my guess is that as of Wednesday, Gold Tickets will be available again.

Now realising Arras is nearer to the UK and with tickets going on sale tomorrow theres is more chance in getting vip gold circle.
I think its a better choice. Belgium can wait for a bit.

@Powersoul99. Is this your sense of humor or should I really start to worry? I bought two GC tickets off their site half an hour ago and was surprised at how easy it went; it didn't seem busy at all.

I can't find anything on the Internet about Digitick.com being a scam, though????

I don't know for sure but I think I saw a post about them being very very strict about letting people in i.e. if there's any problem with the ticket or your name doesn't match up with the ticket or something like that then they refuse you entry and put your ticket back up for sale. Think it was this crowd that they were referring to.

I was very surprised too at how easy it was to get GC tickets from them (especially after they were gone immediately from the French FNAC site), fingers crossed it's all kosher!

Edited: actually now that I think of it I think people were referring to teleticketservice....

There was an interview with the organiser of these gigs in a Belgian newspaper last week.
They offered this three-gig-deal to Coldplay as well last year (Arras/Werchter/Roskilde) and that worked out perfectly.
The originally wanted Prince to play the Rock Werchter Festival but because that bill was already so full with big names, they offered him a concert-day just for him.
Main Square Arras and Rock Werchter are "sister"festivals and a lot of bands who play there, do Roskilde as well. The organisers all know each other very well and work together a lot too.
They sent Prince('s people) photos of all three stages, audiences, security and back stage areas and they got a positive response. smile

Here's the interview (in Dutch/Flemish)

Regarding Larry being all preachy during his concerts...

I went to his concert in Tilburg last monday; just FUNK - "preaching" was limited to one remark that the lyrics of "People" are even more true today than they were when the song was written.

Makes me wonder if the reason for Larry preaching during Prince concerts was actually Prince's, not Larry's initiative...

Btw, most probably the reason for Larry's addition to Werchter Boutique as a support act comes from his current European tour which is getting lots of good reviews (and rightfully so, I can tell you).

it's probably because of all the people in the world that need to be preached at, it's prince fans. he probably looks at the audience at a prince concert and thinks "jesus, please save them!"

I think the gigs haven't sold out yet because we're not talking about the most exotic places in the world here: Arras, Werchter and Roskilde.
I think most people have never even heard of these towns!
Plus the fact that they're outdoors, two of them in a field might not be very attractive for a lot of people.
If they had announced three gigs in Milan, London and Paris - same capacities, it would've sold out in no time.

cool

Well Arras sounds nice and the idea of a Citadel is great. But we have tickets for Belgium and actually maybe it'll be nice seeing Prince in daylight, if it's not tooooo busy. If it starts at what 1700 in France the next day concert in Belgium is at 1800 I believe so enough time to get there and rest, though not much. I'm kind of hoping he'll not leave EU immediately and either do a last minute gig somewhere in NL and then fly to London to participate in the MJ tribute. But this is wild speculation of course.

Werchter and Rosklide are known for their fesivals. And if people wanna go see Prince, they can look it up in Google maps or earth. Can't imagine names of towns he plays are of influence.

Congrats to those of you that live in areas he'll actually play a show. Guess I will settle for seeing Roger Waters playing "The Wall" this summer.. at least he's heard of Columbus OH and isn't avoiding the states except for 2 cities. Some people just don't have the means to spend hundreds on tickets and hundreds more on travel..
