If you could make it so that out-of-towners could purchase in advance, I would be soooo thankful.

This will be in the soundstage area, probably?

I wonder how many folks will come for this. I live about 25 min away but I don't want to drive out there and stand in line for 2 hours or whatever, and then not get in. confused
Did you join the site?

No. And I'll probably regret that decision now.

Do we know if he is performing? It says "jam" but I do not see that P is performing. This is need to know info for me.

In Paisley Speak I think it's safe to assume "jam" is a concert. Usually "party" means a DJ will be there.

Yeah, I am.

I really hate how Prince does this to me. All rational thought flies out the window when he announces a nearby show.

Guess I'll go over and update my credit card information. lurking

That's a good suggestion, and I wish I could do that. But I'm low on fundage at the moment and can't afford the extra $77. sad The money to go this weekend will put a crimp in things enough as it is but damn I need to get out and have a good time REAL BAD.

I guess things will work out as they're meant to and I'll just hope for the best.

How confident are you that you'll get tickets? I kinda wanna wait and see what the details will be for how they'll be distributing the tickets. I keep thinking how much it would suck to drive 6 hours, not get tickets, and then have to pay for the hotel. But part of me wants to risk it...

Well besides that, I have the added concern of wheelchair accessibility to think about. I would hate to spend the $ and go, only to be forced to park my chair where the view is obstructed...or worse, not be able to enter at all! pissed

But, I'll take the risks! excited

My wife was in a wheelchair at the 2002 Celebration due to being 8 months pregnant and having Multiple Sclerosis (doctors wouldn't allow her to stand for that long). PP is wheelchair accessible and you will be escorted to the front of the stage, so you can see.

With you being so close, if you really want to go, you could always go old school and camp out. wink

At least if you can't get in, you can be home soon. If I went, I'd had a seven hour drive back. lol

While it would be a 9 hour road trip, i'm thinking i'm going to try the flight route (assuming I can get tickets).... has anyone heard about when tickets are going on sale?

Question for ya'll: would you go to the concert alone? I can't find anyone who's willing to head up to MPLS with me... sad

your never alone at Paisley Park.....
used to go all the time
long drive from Detroit
but well worth it

what's the crowd capacity at paisley p?

& how many people are gonna be tempted at $40 a throw (+ a pair of gloves).?
maybe he will declare a rave in his back garden 4 the overspill..all those coats/hats/longjohns/bottles of water wink

I believe tickets were limited to 2,000 for the Celebrations. There's the Love 4 One Another room for spill-over and a chance to stretch out.

Bring warm clothes everyone.

Yeah, being close is nice. And I wish I could camp out! lol My days of camping out in line are long past, I'm afraid. It's just not possible anymore.

Ugh I feel for you about the seven hour drive. I used to live a little over four hours away and that was enough of a pain, especially during winter months. Sometimes it can be fun though, if you have a bunch of friends in the car, loud (Prince) music on the car stereo, and some junk food. biggrin Still, standing in line and not getting would definitely make a 7 hour drive home again seem twice as long.

Me too. I have to talk to my wife about it. We're pretty busy during the day on Saturday, so it might wipe her out.

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
