La Cigale tonight.

Hello,

So I got an email from Lotusflow3r this morning at around 9:30AM (local) this morning telling me that I should go to the Cigale (small venue in Paris) to pick up my ticket for tonights show! The email, btw, was written in French (a nice touch) Tickets would be available to Lotus members from 10 to 5PM local. All this is great! Except I work from 9 to 6 and I didn't even see the email until I came home tonight.

Anyway tickets left over will be sold to the public right about now. Apparently the line is 1,000 people long and the place holds around 300 people.

I feel like writing the Lotus folks and telling them that some fans have day jobs and a teeny tiny heads up would be cool.

All this to say that Prince is putting on another show tonight AND there are rumors that there's an aftershow at the New Morning club afterwards.

Have fun to all that can attend.

you mean they have offered free tickets to anyone that turns up? wtf is my email. i wasn't going to go, but that's not the point, i just like to moan about things. i can't even read french so the email probably ended up in the spam pit along with all the emails from nigerian scammers who want to steal my millions of pounds. i bet he will probably sing in french too and i wouldn't understand a fucking word of what he said either

Sorry unique, I probably wasn't clear enough. We got first dibs on 80 euro tickets that are sold tonight.

Hi Browzer, I did subscribe to LotusFlow3r and didn't even received any email! But living in Paris is maybe not enough to qualify me. Anyway, I don't care. I've seen his majesty yesterday night at the Grand Palais, and am still overjoyed. Hope there will be more, and more easy as far as the ticket process is concerned...
And good fun for the motivated ones who will attend this monday night. For me, I prepare myself for Porcupine Tree tomorrow night at the Olympia (Steve Wilson, its genius leader, is a huge fan of Prince and a very fine guitarist too) and it's fine by me...
Cheers...

Good God. Having spent 77 to join LF, I'm kinda pissed that nothing ever, ever works as advertised with his sites. I'm in Paris on vacation, and checked all the pertinent sites this morning and saw nothing. Now I see they sent a message out...I'm sure they don't know who's in Paris on vacation, but would it cost more just to send it to everyone?

Anyway, I suppose the venue is sold out by now and I don't know Paris well enough to traipse around looking for an aftershow.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I've been having a great time! I just thought that seeing a Prince gig would be a nice thing to go back home to discuss! I'm actually going to check out a few jazz clubs tonight!

I have written down a goal to be living here within seven years. Seriously. Rosetta Stone is getting some serious face time when I return.

What I really want to know is whether he announces another set of shows. Where's this "press conference" everyone's on about? I thought as well as a mini show there'd be news of a Paris stint. Well? . . . .

Hail hail your self control, Black&Rising. One interesting thing to see and do in Paris; visit the Place de la Bastille and relive old times by swinging the quillotine blade one more time for Browzer. Party Up.

The E mail seems to say 'tickets would go on sale to french members of Lotusflow3r.com' so I guess thats why the rest of us never got an e mail.
Forgive me if my French is wrong smile

Damn, he screws everything up when it comes to LF. It's like he just can't possibly get one thing right. Send out the email to all the subscribers! He has no idea who's in Paris or not. It's been ages since people signed up for the site. People move, people vacation, and he has no idea where they are.

But I guess he just wants that website to remain worthless.

been there, done that!!! Quite amazing to see. Did the Lourve yesterday, all day, and I feel very small after being in the presence of all that history for so long. Today we are going to the Palace of Versailles, then to do some shopping, then may check out a few bars...speaking of which, anyone have any personal insight into Hotel Costes? I see P did a press conference there, we are staying around the corner on rue Cambon. We've walked past it a few times but it always looks closed, last nite they had a queue going, so wondering if it's the spot now that Prince is maybe there?

By the way, the Paris Metro here is phenomonal! I get around like a pro with one iPhone app and a 10 day ticket!

You should do lunch there, if you do not have a reservation they will let you wait in the lobby until a table is ready. But that is a treat already as you see beautifull people walking in and out. and sniff the scent. their candles rock!!!

enjoy!
