Here's how it was back in the nineties:

All who have the chance to go there: ENJOY - HAVE A WONDERFUL NIGHT!

Seeing Prince on a little stage like that, looking like a wedding singer, really drives home the point that when he did the name change, he really did start over from scratch.

and that show was the bomb diggity!! headbang
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Prince's team has released a new photo of the man with the golden guitar in promotion of his next European gig. It would be nteresting if Prince might use his golden symbol guitar in Monaco, just like he did in 1994 after the World Music Awards.

Doesn't Prince have a friendship with Princess Stephanie? I can't blame him for wanting to mix-up his own experiences... and make some spending money for a summer vacation.

yep. i'd do it myself. euro peeps can come in for the night.

There something really strange about this photo. It looks like they photoshopped the symbol guitar into this picture. Just took a look at the curly bit...

This aside, I don't think it will be a very exciting concert. They already announced it as (yet another) greatest hits show.
Given the fact that there is a capacity of 2x500 seats and they only sold 2x150 tickets to the public, the majority of the tickets will go to business associates, rich clients of the casino and the royal family.

It'll be quite a posh public - not my cup of tea....

Not exactly true. They sold 2x 350 seats at FNAC Monaco, Cannes and Nice an hour before the online sale started.

Am i right in saying that the only people complaining are the people outside of europe? so if he was playing shows in the U.S then that'll be alright for us europeans? sheesh, he played 3 concerts in 1 night for you americans and now he's giving a little of the lotus to the rest of the world. i think this is leading up to something new.

cool

Are we to assume thats its a free for all as far as seating goes? The earlier you roll up, the better your seat? Don't seem to be seat numbers on the confirmation page.

So does that mean that FNAC Monaco sold 350 x2 in advance and another 150 when they went on sale? That's worrying because that means there are no tickets for founding members on lotusflow3r?

Also i'm curious to see if FNAC sold the tickets at face valve and didnt do what most ticket agencies do over price. Will be funny if the tickets on lotusflow3r well $33.00 each lol!

Well if nothing happens on lotusflow3r tonight i'm gonna find out how i can file a dispute to lotusflow3r. Because they promised tickets available on their site and if it is already sold out that is false advertising!

To be honest I don't think this is expensive at all (Not saying I can afford it tho)-it is an intimate gig in an expensive place-Prince could have charged more than this easily. I think where prince is being really clever is that this is essentially a promo gig and people are playing for the pleasure. This is what he did for the Lotusflow3r in New York-people paid him to promote his own album. I know people think he is a crass money grabber but how cool is it that he can pull this off. This is like being paid for a press conference. I love his arrogance. It appears to me that he has definitely split the focus of his latest album between the USA and Europe-this is probably what has to be done when you are not with a major label-you cannot do a global promotion simultaneously. Good luck to him
