Thanks for keeping us up to date and I'm sure you'll do the same for the second show.

no-one else sang, so no backing vocals if I'm not mistaken. I don't even think Rhonda or anyone had a mic. (shame! Rhonda has such a nice voice!)
Prince sang extremely well tonight, all by himself though...
I must say even though I wasn't that far from the stage my view was extremely limited. couldn't see the guitar, only his top half through lots of heads and arms. sometimes just glimpses. the stage needs to be higher! I don't know what all the peeps even further back saw!
also, very short set, just 90 min.

about the phitography, there were LOADS of people taking pictures all the time, unhindered! expect they will see the light of day shortly! and then some (hopefully) i.e.some video clips and some recordings... woops, maybe I'm not allowed to say that? I didn't take any!

I messed up the transition between the 2 shows very badly! People with tix for both were supposed to be given wrist bands but I just could not see where! I ended up with the peeps who had tickets only for the 2nd show while people with wrist bands were let back in first (to very loud booing by 2nd show ticket holders!). Then it got so crowded going back in, I nearly had a panic attack and had to hang back... Now I'm back in the hall, but right at the back.
Maybe the view will actually be better?

I know that is a little crazy. I hope Prince tries to straighten that mess out.

Maybe it is just his way so everyone gets a chance to be in the front.

He usually allows VIPs / fan clubbers to enter first.

I'm a bit bored now... so much waiting - the queuing takes longer than the sets last!
here's a bit more detail: The whole1st show started by Prince introducing the band members while himself still off stage. Rhonda looked real good - younger than ever!
Plenty of opportinities for solos - every1 excelled. Rhonda slapped the bass so hard during 1 of her solos, I think it even made Prince laugh out loud. Looked like that 2 me, anyway. John possibly got the biggest cheer from audience for his main solo. Prince must have set his guitar on fire playing the solo for Empty Room, it was that good!

no, I didn't actually see any1 videoing. saw 1 woman taking loads of pix. she was quite small so I think the only way she could see Prince was by holding the camera up and taking pix!

nice set list, if a little sleepy.

Aww i so hope that these concerts get on lotus or dvd! I dont see it happening but i do pray. It was too expensive for me to go and im really upset now looking at the great set list. this is what you get when you are a student at uni !
