YES...Prince in Paris at the week end!

Not sure how true this is but just seen this on a french site:

Our good friend Raphy over in Europe is trying to nail down confirmation that Prince and The Band will perform three nights in a row July 24-26 at the famed L'Olympia Paris, the oldest music hall in Paris (opened in 1888).

Additional details, in French, but it's all good. If you read French, like me, many of our friends over in Europe are excited. Details, as I said, from Raphy, are changing by the moment and was to have been kept a secret.

http://www.pabw.net/pabw/...hp?t=12228

So, after the Montreaux Jazz Festival closer Saturday evening, Prince and the Band, it appears will remain in Europe, setting up a brief residency in France.

msg of Raphy op PABW : NO SHOW

Thanks for the fresh news. I suppose we might know more about it tomorrow. By the way, is he in Paris at all at the moment? I guess that if he is in Paris than it's not only for shopping. lol

As far as I know, nothing new for the moment. Last info I read was published on a french site and was pretty optimistic but that's it. Apparently, negociations are going on between promoters, the Olympia concert hall and Prince's management.

French site confirmed "Olympia" is booked for 3 nights for Prince but no tickets on sale at the moment.

Like we told you last week end,the singer Prince will be in l`Olympia in Paris for three
exceptionnal shows. After a close source of the hall have been contacted its been confirmed that l`Olympia has been booked for Prince for the 24,25 and 26th of july...
For the moment the information hasn`t been officialise.

I`ve just been reading another article on another french site...
They said it`s going to happen.Let`s wait for confirmation.

It`s becoming ridiculous,on one hand it`s definitely sure that it will happen but on the other hand still no confirmation from Prince side or l`Olympia.

Journalists are news item mills. They got themselves data from the internet and make articles from what they find on Prince related forums.
Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity

Still practising my french...It seems that Prince's appearance could be posponed to August/September due to organisational problems.

They could still sell out the place releasing the tickets online tomorrow or even Thursday. All they have to do is just LET THE PEOPLE KNOW!

Well it seems more complicated than we imagine I guess. The Olympia concert hall is actually closed at the moment due to summer holidays. May be it's a bit too much to open the place and getting the personal just for 3 nights, even for Prince. You should also consider that during the summer most of the local french celebrities who would love to be on the guestlist for a Prince concert are actually...on holidays. Prince's concerts in France are "the place to be" if you think you are someone and I'm sure some of them would be very upset if they were to miss it.

No...I think he's sincerely doing his best to get reliable infos but it's certainly not easy. The first step would be to know where Prince is at the moment. As I said earlier, if he is in Paris or in Europe than that could be a sign?
