Well, I’ve slept on it now, I was gutted yesterday but I’ve come up with the following to make me feel much better

It would probably have been more or less the same show as the O2 shows which I saw several times, not that they weren’t great cos they were but there would have been no surprises, same band, same songs same act – minus the Twinz…

No Maceo Parker who’s on tour with his own band right now anyway

I couldn’t really afford the whole trip, all I lost was my flight money which was dirt cheap anyway (yeah I know this is selfish and I’m genuinely sorry for those that lost hotel money etc)

Its due to rain on Monday in Dublin – not that it would have spoiled it but better if its warm and sunny

I’m going to Jamaica soon and the Jamaican’s are even cooler people than the Irish (and that’s saying something cos the Irish are very cool people)

I get my new car next week!!

Ronaldo is still at Man united…….yeh I’m digressing but it still makes me feel better

I’m gonna buy a great big family size Tiramisu today and eat it all to myself

I am not glad. Slept on it but still gutted .
Its only a show but i am allowed to be disappointed. Not slitting my wrists or anything. Just sure it would have been amazing, These concerts only happen once in a long while and god knows when another will happen. He is not getting any younger.
That said it is not the end of the world and i am gonna shop in dublin til i drop (pennys is their primark right?, lol)
Get drunk and not care if i look a state, he's not gonna be there, see me fancy me , want to take me to his room , back to LA, marry him, get me a recording contract etc

Also after looking for alternative things to do in Dublin I found 'Children of Bodom' A thrash metal band fron Finland - Bonus ! you can inagine my disapointment when I discovered they will have left Dublin by monday !

Fact is, the stadium is just far too feckin' big for anything!! I can hardly see the screens there

Those screens are part of the Croke Park setup and they give a fairly decent view, even from the back. There's also screens angled towards the 01/02 35/36 sections because of the obstructed view. Also, if you look to the left of the stage in that clip, that big black thing is also a screen - normally used to display the score during gaa games. In your clip it doesn't look as if they used it for the Celine concert, and it was removed for U2 as they had their own huge thing, and in fact I don't know if it is ever used for concerts, but I guess it could be.

In any event the point is that those small screens are always there and you can see what's happening on stage on them. Not the same as being up the front, granted, but not as bad as you might think.
