T-Shirts at O2? jeeze..

OK, tickets were £32, I got a free album...I shouldnt complain...BUT did anyone else buy a t-shirt at the O2? In my excitement I got myself adn my boyf one each....£60 for the two! For a t-shirt that is basically made of tissue.....the worst quality cotton ever. And rubbishly cut.. I mean....I should have not paid, but I was overly excited. It was the next day when reality hit me that I thought WHY????? I hope they arent linked to Prince but the O2?!.....
Gosh, what a mug I was.

I don't believe anything went on sale that Prince didn't personally approve. And I didn't buy any souvenirs. 'Those shows were for my memories'. Plus for the price of a shirt, I could go again in a VIP seat when Ticketbastard released them on the day of the gig.

Plus they are tiny. I'm kind of sad that there was no dodgy man in the car park selling unofficial t's. Funnily enough those have always lasted longer than the official ones, plus you could have gotten 3 for the price of the official one rolleyes

FYI:

(a) I am not a dodgy man
(b) I was not in the car park

(d) I don't know nothin' or nothin' about no T shirts, no sir-ee!

I bought the t-shirt with the image from Parade on it and I absolutely love it. Normally concert tees are designed for large men or they're "girlie" in a sort of unflattering 90s belly free way but this one is long and fitted. I'm in love. It is definitely worth 30 quid to have Prince on my boobs.

You should have bought a Symbol tambourine - a snip at just £55!

It's hanging on the wall and every time I see it I feel a warm glow - my wife thinks I am crazy though smile

I love the t shirts
So trendy instead of the usual baggy mans things that you would only wear to bed.
I am proud to wear my fitted prince tee out at night with pair of skinny jeans.
Have got loads of compliments.
Dont see the prob.
Unless u are big i suppose.

There were dodgy men outside when I got to the O2 on the afternoon of the first show. Didn't get a chance to buy anything though as trading standards were bagging all their stuff up and taking it away! I actually met one of the guys in an aftershow queue and he was pissed off but laughing about it.Apparently greenwich council operate a zero tolerance on that sort of thing and he said it was always going to be a bit risky.

Apparently he later went to the pier where the boat trip people were boarding and did a bit of business there.
RIP sad

An artist of Prince's size will have negotiated something like 95% of the merchandise takings. So, yes - it is entirely up to Prince, and is probably how he is making up for the super cheap ticket price.

Ahh right...well, hope he enjoys it. The fit is nice...but the material, really, is bad no? I'm afraid my T wont be seen out a lot. shame as I got the one with the rose on, lovely picture....i didnt see the words on the back - I'm not the sort of girl to announce that I wanna be the only one you come for.
What a prude eh!
And nooo, i'm not huge. cheeky moneky... though in this t-shirt world my size 12 was a "large"...I'd no doubt be humungous to Prince.

the symbol tattoo thing was a joke...right'?...surely??

All merchandise was approved by Prince, which is why after the first show the "21 Nights" t shirt was withdrawn from sale as he changed his mind about it

The majority of it was manufactured in the USA which might explain a few things about the variation in quality

Nothing wrong with the 21 nights T-shirt. Thought it was the best one they had, which is why I wore it to the other 4 shows I went to. Got a few 'where did you get that from' questions though!

Was also hoping to find a shirt outside the venue. None of the shirts offered were related to the Tour. I wanted it to say London or 21 nights or something. Settled on a program. That was my third Prince tour and my third program.

I didnt even see any shirts outside!

I spoke to Firebrand who handled the merchandise for Prince in the UK and at the moment there is no merchandise available at the moment from the 21 nights

However, they are in discussions and this may change at a later date

It is very thin. I could get arrested for indecent exposure if I wear it out somewhere. lol
