What song can't you stop playing since '21 nights'?

For me it is 'Somewhere Here On Earth'. Absolutely beautiful song which has grown on me to the point that I now have it on repeat when working at night. Prince's performance of it was spot on every time, though it's a pity not everyone in the audience respected it enough to stay and listen. Every night I was there (except for the last night) it was an excuse to get some more beer!

I keep playing George Clinton's Atomic Dog. It reminds me of waiting for the curtain up at the Indigo.
RIP sad

I've been listening to lots of Sly Stone!

And watching the Aladdin gig again... it's funny how it takes on a whole new relevance after all the aftershows. I love it to bits.

'the one'

his recent reworking/rearranging of it is totally fucking stunning. amongst the best things he's ever done. far far better than the decent original single version.

he should re-record this arrangement and release it smile

Seconded. I was wondering when someone was going to mention this. Fabulous arrangement and the most spectacular vocal. The NPS version was nice, but it's like the song has unexpectedly found its stride. P, if you're reading this, re-record it with the band and make it a B-side...

(anyone else miss the B-side phenomenon since the demise of the "single"?)

Haven't stopped listening to

Guitar
Sshh
Joy in Repetition
If I was Your Girlfriend
I Feel for You

I've got such amazing memories of the 9th September but these songs will always, always make me smile! Haven't listened to Purple Rain by choice yet because I know I'll end up crying!! Chris Moyles played it on the radio about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I was sitting in my office with tears rolling down my face - don't think he knew I needed to psyche myself up to hear it!!!
"I'm so funky I can't even sleep with myself"... Prince 9th September aftershow party

I seem to listen to One Night Alone more than anything. Don't like the beginning of Joy In Rep. though as it's a little tacky (sounds like my daughter practicing her hammer-ons and pull-offs). However of them all I love jamming along to Cream or it could be the other one, y'know, the one that goes on "for twenty minutes".

I definately agree with The One, but also Musicology, Black Sweat, Chelsea Rodgers, and Love is a Losing Game- although he TOTALLY improved that song at the Aftershow.
Prince isn't a star- he's an event. NME Paolo Hewitt.

I totally agree with it, when I first got my free cd from the Daily Mail, I already liked it but hearing it live is so emotional what a beautiful song.

Where can I find Love is a Losing Game ? From what you are saying, I wont get the same version but I dont have it.

I totally love the whole of Planet Earth and cant stop playing it, its driving my daughter crazy! (8yrs old).

Also, any song that he is actually talking in because I feel he has become a close friend and hearing his voice feels like he is still around and close to me. cry

it's on Amy Winehouse's fantastic Back to Black album- but be prepared it doesn't have Prince playing the guitar!!
