I don't think I've ever sat at any of the 23 Prince shows I've been to. Why would I need a table? I'm happy to get a standing room ticket at such an intimate show.

I saw the guy in Vegas 2wice this year for alot less and got to sit next to him an aftershow...that only cost me $20!!! I'll wait for a major tour. The only way I would pay that much is it was his farewell tour or something like that. Maybe he'd attract more fans if he made the prices a little mo' reasonable.
Again, not apples to apples. . . Club 3121 in the Rio holds 900 people, but depending on the setup in the Blossom Room it may hold less than half of that so the price is comparable. Besides the Empire Ballroom show which was a bigger venue and New Year's Eve in Vegas were also $312.01 so this is not a big surprise or anything new. Also, at this point no one knows if this includes the aftershow or not OR how much that will be. You can have all the arenas in the world cuz IMO the intimacy level is worth the money.

I agree, had I gone to vegas from LA, the cost of hotel/ticket and transportation would have been more than a show in my city on my doorstep... I guess everything is relative to where you are...

We can only hope that once he's done making a boatload of money from the celebrities and other rich folks that he'll put on a real "world tour" for all of the regular folks...which is what I think he's going to do more or less. It sure would be nice to have an opportunity like the Europeans are getting...big show....with the new album behind it...and of course that symbol stage! He gets it! That's why the ladies love him...

I can see about 20 other acts in Los Angeles this month for that same amount of money... I DO UNDERSTAND that Prince has the right to earn whatever he wants and might need to supplement here and there for other projects down the road -- but I'm losing patience because lately it only seems to be about charging insane amounts of money for, quite honestly, mediocre shows of predictable set-lists. I'll pass. ditto for me. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista
