Yeah, he's high.

I can see about 20 other acts in Los Angeles this month for that same amount of money... I DO UNDERSTAND that Prince has the right to earn whatever he wants and might need to supplement here and there for other projects down the road -- but I'm losing patience because lately it only seems to be about charging insane amounts of money for, quite honestly, mediocre shows of predictable set-lists.

I'll pass.

ditto for me.

me too.

3121 Live @ The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

The xperience is about 2 begin. Emale 3121hrh@thompsonhotels.com 4 ticket in4mation.

Funny how you failed to mention that the first date is already CANCELLED because -- guess what -- they're STILL NEGOCIATING THE CONTRACT!

http://www.eurweb.com/sto...r34338.cfm

The Web site HotelChatter.com is reporting that Prince has cancelled the first show of his seven-week residency at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood due to stalled contract negotiations.

The singer and hotel execs were still locked in contract talks as of yesterday, and Prince has opted not to take the stage until everything is worked out, the Web site reported.

Yet another fuckup to add to the long list of fuckups.

Remember when he had a management? When he actually released records worth listening to? When he did legendary concerts for normal prices? When he mattered?

Funny how MY article is from June 18th and the first show, which was rumored 2 start last week June 15th, was cancelled. Perhaps you should check your dates and stories of when they were first posted because what YOU mentioned right now I sent out on June 11th when that article first came out.

Roosevelt Hotel is 3-mile drive. I won't attend, either.

When I went to the Staples Center for the Musicology Tour, I drove back home the 2 hour drive to save on Hotel. But damn, I really can not see myself paying 312.00 to stand! Plus my son's ticket! sad

V-cast is now FREE.

Only on certain phones. I had to add it for $15 per month. Did it today and there's really not much more to "Guitar" than the Verizon commercial had. I kinda like the female backup vocals near the end. I wish he wouldn't have used the word "car" twice in the song. It's a fun song, sounds like it coulda been a hit 20 years ago, but I doubt it'll be much more than a nice commercial today. I'm very much looking forward to the new cd, though, as this is the direction I wish he would have taken years ago. I hope it's not just a tease, but I suspect as much.

Don't mean to be down, I really enjoyed the last three albums, I just miss the innovator.

PRINCE'S "3121" LIVE AT
THE HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL

AND THOMPSON HOTELS

In an unprecedented Los Angeles event,
Purple will Reign for seven special intimate performances
starting Saturday, June 23rd at the legendary Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Hollywood, CA (June 18, 2007) - Pop music icon Prince will be taking up residency and bringing "3121" exclusively to Thompson Hotels', Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel this summer, presented by Verizon Wireless. For possibly the last time in Los Angeles, the royal purple carpet will be rolled out for his Hollywood homecoming and the artist has chosen the legendary hotel for seven exclusive, intimate performances commencing Saturday, June 23rd, 2007.

Reminiscent to Prince's legendary after hours parties in his Beverly Hills home, a select audience of 200 friends and fans will have an incredible opportunity to witness Prince firsthand in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Blossom Room, home of the first Academy Awards. Known for his spontaneity, Prince has frequently invited musicians onstage for impromptu performances. Past surprise guests have included Sir Elton John, Will.I.Am, Kelis, Sheila E., Herbie Hancock , Maroon 5 and more.

"The 3121 sessions at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel will offer admirers close-up and personal evenings with a musical legend," states Jason Pomeranc, of Thompson Hotels. "We are honored and excited to host, both artists and guests alike, for this once in a lifetime experience inside the Roosevelt's beautiful and historic, Blossom Room."

At the 3121 sessions Prince will debut new music including "Guitar," the first single from his much anticipated unreleased album, "Planet Earth." 3121 guests can download "Guitar" right at the venue for free courtesy of Verizon Wireless' new technology V CAST Song ID.

"When Prince, who has consistently been on the cutting edge of music, harnesses innovative technology to deliver his fresh new music, that's a tremendous opportunity for music lovers," said John Stratton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Verizon. "At Verizon, we're committed to delivering powerful, direct and relevant music experiences and we are pleased to be executing on this through our relationship with Prince and the legendary Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel."

The evening will begin at the Dakota restaurant with Prince's personal chef Lena Morgan presenting a VIP dinner, taking over the kitchen from executive chef Tim Goodell. Then the 130 special guests, along with another 70 standing room only attendees, will be welcomed into the Blossom Room for a musical performance like no other. Following every two-hour performance, fans can experience a late-night impromptu jazz set presided over by Prince.

VIP packages, including dinner at the Dakota (tax, alcohol, and gratuity excluded), will be limited to 130 seats, sold in pairs (65) for $3121.00. An additional 70, standing room only tickets will be made available for $312.10 each.

Ticket and VIP package requests will be serviced via email at 3121HRH@ThompsonHotels.com

Prince is back in town-- his town, following recent sold-out performances in Las Vegas. 3121 Live at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel will be his last stop before commencing "21 Nights in London" this fall with a possible World Tour to follow.
