What happened to my lifetime membership?

I am really pissed off right now. I'm reading the thread for the SF show. $225 fucking dollars for good seats?!!!

This is seriously ridiculous. Where's my lifetime membership that I was supposed to have? I feel like I've been raped or violated in some way, and definitely LIED TO.

Hey Prince, don't you think you've got enough money already? You make it clear to me year after year that you DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR FANS.

You can always write to Sam Jennings at http://www.myspace.com/sam3121 to ask for a refund and to be permanently removed from the NPGMC list. I don't know if that will work but you can give it a try.

Get a grip. How much did you pay for that lifetime membership, huh? And how many times did you get the opportunity to purchase awesome seats for club prices before the public??

He's worth $225. If you can't pay it, tough. Stop whining. If the public is willing to pay that much for the greatest performer in our lifetime, then I have no problem with him charging that much. It's supply and demand.

He owes you NOTHING. That lifetime membership was a steal for us members. I know I got my money's worth with 5 concerts during the Musicology tour alone.

Go find another artist page to whine on and leave this one alone.

May I suggest going out and actually getting raped, and then coming back and reporting to us how it compares to feeling that you didn't get your $25 worth of NPGMC membership? rolleyes

well i would hope she's finding or moving on to another artist if she felt Prince raped, violated and lied to her and continues year after year to treat her like shit.

yes, Lifetime membership of the club, NOT lifetime of the individual. The club doesnt 'live' anymore so it has expired.

That's a crock of crap right there. confused

Technicalities, eh?

There was no reason to close that site but to be an fing weirdo prick like he's always been. I'm sorry, I can't be the only one who thinks what I think. Why is it not obvious that you've all been used and abused by him.

I have a right to say what I want to here people, and I'm not going to "go to another site" because of it.

It prob is a technicality, yes. It was always gonna happen though. I didnt mind, just wanted the good seating for the ONA shows. which i got. I never looked at it beyond that - 25 dollars, wasnt worth fussing over for me - i got what i wanted. The club went and so did my membership - i never honestly thought it would still be around for many years to come.

There actually is, the ongoing lawsuit mentioned on the 3121/club forum regarding the name NPG/mc

maybe it will come back? who knows!

Why am I a follower if I'm against using the guise of "lifetime membership to garner registration"?

If I were a follower, a blind follower in fact, I wouldn't question the almighty midget and just take it up the ass.

Oh god, here we go, semantics.

How do I explain this to you, NO REASON IS A GOOD REASON, when I was promised something. What part of that do you not understand? If there were some kind of legal issue, then open up another website with a different domain name. Are you ENTIRELY misguided or just slightly? I don't believe Prince and his secret shenanigans anymore. He is a messed up individual and needs to come back down to Earth.

LOL, no i'm not misguided. I just believe the website went down for a reason and until I have the facts its impossible for me to form any judgement. and I also remember when the NPGMC first closed someone copied and pasted a sentence in their terms and agreement section which did state that the one time membership fee was valid during the life of the website not your life as someone else pointed out.

OK, then it shouldn't be called a "lifetime membership".

Implied meaning there, and Prince has become just another corporation.

He should be liable for something, but I guess in his infinite wisdom and positive enlightenment, he found a loophole.

Neat. confused

Gemini,

Just try and make this a legal argument! I'm an attorney and you cannot show HARM for what has happened...even if there was a breach in contract. Your measly $25 has been spent and you have received more than your money's worth!

The lifetime membership is only as good as the life of the club....idiot. The club is in limbo. If the club returns and your membership is not honored you might have a better argument, but still cannot show harm.

Take your bitterness elsewhere. This will always happen when someone is so successful. There will be those who try and find the negative and bitch about it.

Prince is being ridiculously pricy lately. That, and also the fact that you can only pay with a certain credit-card.....disbelief

Hey! Amateur attorney? I'm fully aware that I have no recourse legally.

I am anything BUT an idiot. Why can't you just admit that Prince is a scam artist?

Just like Ken Lay, just like George Bush, hiding behind lies to benefit his "corporate goals".

really, eversince I have seen him in Vegas, I really don't have to see him in larger venues anymore.....if he does a worldtour, I will probably sit that one out as well.....I couldn't be bothered for yet another greatest hits-tour with ridiculous ticket-prices.....can't wait until he's 65 and is playing shady jazz-clubs....

In reality is it a ridiculous ticket price or market price. Is he charging more than what most artist of his status charge for a small venue?

its ridiculous to me cuz its way out of my price range right now.
