I wouldn't expect one of these Hit and Run shows to pup up there but if Prince does a proper tour in support of 3121 I would say its a real possiblity. Yes indeed I will be there!!!!! (By the way lovemachine- we usually do not agree on much but I 've got lots of Soul... I like your sig ) [Edited 3/12/06 7:27am]

I agree happens in every city and every town... I guess the job I am in, I see a lot of rednecks that come in and act rude and expect handouts. I will help anyone in this world with any thing as long as they ask me nicely and with the same respect that I give them. I guess it is just ppl in general- I just happen to be surrounded by rednecks. They do not have respect for how their own yards and homes look, I guess I cannot expect them not to throw their trash out in our neighborhood.. I guess I expect others to behave like me..

Tamar w/ Prince 3/13; 12:29 am - approx. 2:15 am
Great Show. Prince performed an incredible version of Beautiful Strange -- not one of his greatest hits, but done superbly (what more can we ask?). The dj (our shapely friend from the Black Sweat vid) actually played a previously recorded non-album version of the song during the warm up to the show. Prince also did a fierce version of Anotherloverholenyohead. Both songs had extended heavy guitar and Prince did a great backup for Tamar for the rest of her show. That chick drummer from the earlier performances is the BEST; she was on fire the entire show. Be under no illusion that this is "Tamar's show"; she was lead vocals for the rest of the evening (morning) with occassional back up by the twins. Tamar did not perform BLAB; the album version was actually played by the DJ, who put the song on and left the stage, to end the concert. Tamar, otherwise, just did covers of Aretha Franklin, Chacka Kahn, Jill Scott, Michael and Janet Jackson, among a few others. She and the dancers have amazing energy and they are really some of the best back up dancers I have seen with Prince or any one else. Their singing, which we got a heavy sampling of, didn't compare to the tightly choreographed and riveting dance performances, but a lot of people didn't seem to care. (I cared...) But my ticket was free. I'm glad I didn't pay $60 for the show, but it was worth seeing. I loved another chance to see P at his all time best. But they aren't trying to deceive you when they bill the show with P just a a "guest artist". He was only off stage for a couple of songs, but he was definitely just riding as back seat driver. It's very gracious of him to support someone like Tamar. She was perspiring more during her first song that Prince seemed to be at the end of the concert. She has good energy, but the show seemed imbalanced. Prince had to carry the show musically, but Tamar and the twins did a bang up job with their stage work. The hair tossing does get a bit stale, but they mix it up. When P backs up Stevie Wonder, Cheryl Crow, Ani DiFranco, Chakha, Maceo, Patti LaBelle, Santana or other stars, the sound is fresh and fascinating. Tamar's musical limits are obvious. Time will tell how long her light shines; she should enjoy it while it lasts; and hang on to her sweat rag which she didn't bother to drop during on song during the performace. The Nation nightclub is an AWESOME place to see Prince; small footprint on the audience standing room only area, but three standing room only balconies; not a bad "seat" in the house. DC's 9:30 Club is also a fantastic venue to see him in if you ever get a chance.

I wonder why it is not sold out. Is the former Glam Slam that big? I was there in 1994, but I don't remember it being too big for Prince to sell out. I guess everyone knows that Prince does not play much of his stuff during Tamar's practice shows.

It's not going to happen. IT'S A TAMAR SHOW. If you really not feeling her perhaps you should go to another concert. Some folks go there with false expectations then run back here complaining posting how dissapointed they were about the show. Just my thoughts.

Look at the miamimansion.com web site and believe me, you would rather go there than any place in Tampa. It's worth the drive..also if you've never been to South Beach, it's worth the trip!! You won't want to leave. I'm from
Atlanta and was totally blown away by South Beach.. shanti0608 said: ImLikeTheGoochLookin said: Ybor city sucks I've never been there..
