got my ticket for Glasgow

I'm there at the maceo gig in Islington Academy. Anyone interested in a pre-meet anyone?

Saw him at the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat 10 yrs ago - with Fred Wesley. It was supa-funky! He also gave a master-class where he told a lot of stories of JB and PFunk (shame he hadn't hooked up with the little man!).

if anyone gets a rough setlist from a performance before the glasgow one.. id love it if they posted what they remember of it.. im interested as to wat kinda funk awaits me.

I saw him once around 2003 in Paris with Greg B. and MrHayes, it was a great show but not as tigh as when playing with Prince.
I think Maceao is a very kind person, during the show I could felt he was playing with all his heart, so a true funky and warm show.

What can I say?? Maceo was awesome yet again! He always takes it up another funk notch! Whats that all about?

Two things, ok 3 things, actually 4 things i always take away with me from a Maceo gig...

1. The funk!
2. The love to everyone, "We Love You...u and u...and u..."
3. The band is tight "What about the band...what about the band..." The band were awesome!! Corey Parker...is da man...Marta Wright all woman! the guitarist...the keys man...the trumpetter...the drummer (the happiest man alive - never seen someone sooo happy drumming the funk! Props to you man...u loved the funk)... His Shakespeare Sista Natasha and of course The Teacher himself...Mister Maceo Parker! Respect and appreciation where its due and they deserve more than enough! My cupth as over runth"
4. The new funk moves and chants! "This funk is off the hook..."

Maceo played jams...there were tiiight. From Maceo to JB to Prince to George... he had it down!
