Pubs or clubs seem to work best- which leaves me buggered as I either never have money or have complete nut-jobs after me!
Meeting people through work. Also meeting people through friends... but this has got me in a hell of a mess, so you be careful doll! JaneyX JaneyPoos used to be it... then they changed what it was. Now what I am isn't it and what is it is strange and frightening to me...

No easy answer...but what works FOR ME is simply having confidence and having the balls to introduce yourself. That's it. I know LOTS of people who have a devil of a time meeting people even WITH this technique, so this is only something that works for ME.

Go up to people in the street and tell them that unless they go for a drink with you, you'll start singing, "You're the one that I want" from Grease at the top of your voice and shame them into agreeing.

..increase your chances by doing a similar march to the lollies and ice cream on the cinema screen behind John Travolta at the movie drive in. Best bit of the film IMO.

Sure she was a bit of a stick in the mud, but all he could care about is what 'they' would say Monday at school.

He was in misery after all, and even went so far as to think that nothing was left for him. I say shame on Sandy!

He was such a player and look at the way he mocked her when they were united for the 1st time after their summer fling. Just to impress his mates.

Well. . .depends what you mean by "worked". . .if you mean, "completely turned your life upside down", yeah, it did. If that's what you're going for, do that. If you just want to meet somebody normal and have a nice time, do something else. Sorry, couldn't resist.
