Star Trek:Discovery (finally) 2.5/5 it'll stay that way even if half of each episode wasn't in it's annoying version of klingon, forced to read subtitles. Perhaps it's a genius move you have to watch the screen the entire show to have a clue what's going on. If S2 doesn't draw me in I think I'll be done with it. SO! Now that i have finally gotten to the beginning of the last season of 'How I Met Your Mother', i can honestly say that it was a pleasant and detailed "trip". If we are scoring from 5, i would give it a 5. If we are scoring from 100, i would give it a 94.54. i've been watching over the last 2 years as my "gotobinge".
...i'm afraid that i have to see the end soon

Fosse/Verdon - 3.5 stars out of 4.
This was well done and interesting for a fan like me f their work together. Can't say that the series made me admire them as people though, which probably wasn't the point. I have always thought highly of Michelle Williams, who shines here.

I May Destroy You - Season 1 I like that it's a spotlight on the Black British community in London which you don't see much on screen. There are many nuanced characters here with the heroes exposing their flaws and the villains generating sympathy. But ultimately, it's an incredibly intense series about surviving and moving on. 4.5/5

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Season 7 I liked the first half of the season more with the time traveling through different eras. The characters' exits in the series finale was very nice as well. When more superpowers were introduced in the second half is when I think the show faltered a little. 3.5/5

The Vow 3/5 I just started watching it. All these groups that prey on people's, idk it isn't spiritual but it rooted in the same place, sense of purpose? They prey at all kinds of levels. The Vow is an American true crime documentary series revolving around the cult NXIVM and its leader Keith Raniere NXIVM is a self-described American multi-level marketing company based near Albany, New York, which offers personal and professional development seminars through its "Executive Success Programs". Crazy Ex Girlfriend - Seasons 1 and 2
I have never been so unclear about how I am going to rate a tv show or movie while writing the review. This show is all over the map in terms of tone, story-line, and quality. Almost every episode has some good moment and some eye rolling moments. There were so many times that I thought about no longer continuing to watch the show but then I would see something that pulled me back in with it's creativity, humor, and/or heart. In addition to having too many shifts of tone each episode, another issue is the actual craziness. It is bold that the series actually doesn't stick to just a zany version of crazy though it does do this at times. The show increasingly during the first 2 season (and the beginning of the 3rd season) portray the lead character as having a mental illness. Her instability makes her so extremely and repeatedly self-absorbed that it becomes tiresome and reduces the compassion one would typically have for such an out of control character. Nevertheless, Rachel Bloom is impressive in the title role and it may have been a disaster if the acting was not so good. The musical numbers range from being off-putting (just get to the story please!) to inspired. Well, I thought processing my mixed reactions here would lead to clarity about my ratings but it hasn't it. I guess I will have to average my different reactions.
Best parts: 4.5 stars out of 5 Worst parts: 2 stars out of 5. Average: 3.25 out of 5 (whew, I did it!)

Starting The Third Day. I'm so confused. Confused enough to make me curious and I like Jude so a 3/5 for interest. I feel like this is a series long The Wicker Man which would be disappointing. It's going to be weird definitely. The production will be split into three parts with three interconnected stories. The first, 'Summer', directed by Marc Munden, will follow Sam (played by Jude Law), a man drawn to a mysterious island off the English coast where he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost. The second part of the production, 'Autumn', will be told during a one-off live event in London after the summer section of the show has been broadcast. Described by the producers of the show as a "major immersive theatre event", the live segment of the show will air in one continuous take and is intended to allow followers of The Third Day to "inhabit the story as it happens". It will feature Jude Law and other members of the series cast. The third part of the series, 'Winter', directed by Philippa Lowthorpe, follows Helen (played by Naomie Harris), a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island seeking answers, but whose arrival precipitates a fractious battle to decide its fate. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Good thing I'm watching it on hbo instead of live, i can record that ish and keep it moving, watch it when i feel like it. . Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I got that vibe from the 1st episods without reading a word about it. BUT I'm here to see how this 12 hour thing is going to turn out. Very challenging. Even deeper than Russian Ark, especially since it seems they're improvising some of it. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Cobra Kai
I totally binged and watched both seasons over the weekend and didn't want it to end. Such a worthy continuation of the Karate Kid. Great to see the original actors and the kids are great too. A fun show and much needed for me at the moment.
